Hello all, I'm building a piece of software for myself to help me with collecting Super Nintendo games. I am however having trouble finding a good source with a complete list of SNES games with complete metadata to build my database with. I have thought about using a Hyperspin xml list, but that is missing information like the max. players for a game, japanese alternative title, exlcusive to regions etc. etc. Does anyone know of a good place where i can find such a list? Preferably in xml, csv or with an API. This seemed like the perfect place to ask. Thanks in advance

I've been looking for a frontend for a while, bought the BigBox only to find out a total waste of money, then I found hyperspin a week ago and a pack with the whole thing, backgrounds, animations, gameplay videos, box art, etc., and I thought "okay, let's give it a try". Dafuq was I thinking, since then I've been on top of it for days just downloading, configuring, getting into inception-like spiral web searches and figuring it out. I'm not sleeping well, can't eat, got sick, lost my job, kids and family. The most amazing thing, I still haven't played anything. Nice experience though.

Haven't gotten much help from the Rlauncher forum yet so thought I might try with you guys. You are all always super helpful and friendly so my thanks up front. Here is the skinny. I uploaded a game (007 GoldenEye for this example) up on RetroArch through Rlauncher and we are doing great thus far. Game runs beautifully. Getting my new Paper Mario bezel I made to work in that game and feeling pretty accomplished. Tried to create a save file, exit, and see if it stood. It did not. I'd like to express before I go too much further into it I would exclusively like to save as if its the real deal as I plan on making a super console. With this not working and me not being…

I just had this weird thought, has anyone ever wondered how Blanka goes from place to place fighting the random street fighter contestants all over the globe ? Can you imagine ? him standing in a que to check in or to board his next flight ? sitting in coach trying not to wreck the airplane because the a*hole in front of him reclined his chair? or do you think he gets shipped by cargo crate ? who places him in that crate ? seriously. and how will that pass through customs ?

Thoughts of backing up my HS Disk, it worth more than anything I did seriously in my life. hehe 1)How do you guys back up your hyperspin drive? 2)What is the size of your Hyperspin drive? 3)Will you buy the same size drive and just copy the whole image? 4) Backing up to NAS and mirror it on RAID so you can have more than two drives? 5)Where will you keep the backup drive? in the bank, under the pillow or dig a hole and bury it? The day I joined I have bought a 2TB drive within less than half year, I need expand so I bought another 4TB drive to transfer all the files. Finally end of 2015 I bought another 6TB drive what the heck , Now I a…

I have a lot of old Commodore and Atari gear that has yellowed or aged over time. I've seen a bunch of youtube video about retrobrite (basically a hydrogen peroxide creme). Some will use baking soda on problem areas but it does remove a thin layer of plastic as a mild abrasive. I also thought of pressure washing the plastics (electronics removed prior to obviously) but am worried of the same stripping of plastic. Maybe I will try the INTERIOR of one first. Pros/cons? Also, for restoring- I'm nervous of first gen C64 that were the breadbox beige. Will this process make them look new but NOT like an original color?

Hi. I use the VLC Media Player to play music or videos via hyperspin. Everything works great but I have to use the mouse / keyboard to control VLC. Can't configure joystick or gamepad buttons via hotkeys as vlc seems to accept keyboard buttons only. has anyone figured out how to control VLC Media Player with the Arcade Stick / Joystick / Gamepad? regards Neo

And unfortunately at the moment I can't because the wife and child are watching some girly movie on the Xbox Tv. DAMN YOU GIRLY MOVIE! DAMN YOU TO HELL! Anyone else have one of these things?

I use a integrated intel video card for my current setup however noticed it won't run citra as it needs open gl 3.3 and mine only goes up to 3.2 ;( I am sure my gpu causes bottlenecks in other emulators. I am considering an upgrade and wondered what is a lower cost card to get? It has to have hdmi out or similar as I connect to my tv. I am not exactly sure the card slots I have it's a i3 chipset

Humble Bundle has a software bundle at the moment that has several useful tools. The only one of interest to me though is the Daemon Tools Pro. Since it is something that is often used in the HyperSpin community, I thought you guys might want to know. https://www.humblebundle.com/

Hi, I've installed HyperSpin and Rocketlauncher and set a few system configuration, including keys (in both systems), as a matter of fact trying run games from RocketLauncherUI game scan page and HyperLaunch all seems to works. But when I use HyperSpin for some system I can play normally, but in other when I press enter button nothing happens (no error message), and even if I can play, I can't use esc key to exit the game... what I'm doing wrong? Thank you for replies

For my 2017 Christmas I have decided to go all out on a Christmas Light Show. Of course, with my retro gaming habit I want to incorporate something from retro gaming into it as well. So this is a thread I am making as a blog about my experience with this effort. Also I wanted to see if there is anyone else here who may have something to contribute. The sequence I make will be freely available to anyone on this site who may want to build their own show as well. I hold the opinion that old school retro games like Pac-man, Joust, Donkey Kong, etc will work great with this form of expression. My Mega-Tree which is a 16 string x 50 pixel 24 bit (8 bits each per RGB) matri…

Hello, I'm looking to install a pc power button on my cabinet. It's up say 5 feet from the ground so it's comfortably reachable on the back of my cabinet. The only problem is I'm having a hard time finding a long enough sw power header cable. What can I do to work around this? Maybe get 4 of these? https://www.moddiy.com/cart.php?suggest=58a062f397cdf
