Hey guys - I've been a bit of a lurker here for a bit, but some of the great work in this forum inspired me to begin my own build two or so years ago. This week, I finally put the finishing touches on the project - much to the relief of my wife. If you're interested in seeing the build process, there's an imgur album that contains it. Here's the final product:

Hi Ya Folks, Its been a while since I posted in the cab forum, been busy with stuff and perfecting my touchscreen cab (still playing with spotify).. Anyway I have ordered a newtoy in the form of a cnc router for my garage, its not massive (allows 600*900 workpieces) but will allow bartop creation OR maybe even full standing units if the design is in 2 pieces I guess. So my first project for it is a micro bartop based on a raspberry pi solution (so no unfortunately wont run hyperspin), vid included of my first shot at the program. My design allows for a fully assembled outer skin which then allows for the inner sections to slot in containing pi and vid driver board...W…

Here's a video of my latest obsession! It is a highly customized Mortal Kombat cabinet with Hyperspin as the frontend. Unfortunately, I did not take any photos or video during construction, so I created this little video instead... The bits showing off the frontend have been sped up to help make the video shorter. But it will give you an idea of the various themes I created. Cheers, and thanks to everyone on this forum for all the tutorials! Without you I would have gone insane trying to sort out how to accomplish this...

This may have been asked before but i need some clarity on what can and can't be done in windows 7 x64 I have spent the last few weeks in my spare time trying to get lower resolutions in windows 7,i am using a hantarex arcade monitor that seems to work on 640x480 800x600 1024x768 if i use interlaced mode in these resolutions and when i used windows xp with CRT_Emudriver i was also able to use a set of predefined low resolutions without interlaced mode. Now that i am using windows 7 i have tried the list below to create custom low resolutions with the correct timings but after i reboot windows and use the arcade monitor as the primary display these low resolutions do no…

I got rid of my midway cab last year, and pretty much left the site behind. I had a lot of things to catch up with in my personal life and hyperspin had to wait... Well, guess who got bored, and started missing having an arcade around?? THIS GUY! I got engaged, and moved in with my lady, believe it or not, she is totally supportive in the project and I even get to keep it in the house! This is a first! After many moves and tons of back pain lugging around a full size cab, I have decided to build a pedestal set up that can be easily transported. I designed the control panel with RL in mind and I'm pretty satisfied with it. I am about 50% done with it, and I should…

Hey guys, I purchased these items from North Coast Customs and dont know how to securely attach the quad controller to the stand. The stand does not have instructions and the controller instructions do not say how to attach it. I dont see any pre drilled holes or anything. I searched online but could not find an answer. Anyone who has this set up, how did you mount it? Thanks in advance.

First off sorry if this is in the wrong place, I suck at navigating forums. But anyway Hi, I want to build a PC that can run games up to the N64 and PlayStation 1, I am in the UK so UK pricing / Websites would be nice but I can google myself. Anyway, I want to either build a PC or buy a PC that can run Hyperspin and emulators up to the N64 and Playstation 1. I do want a Mini ITX / Small PC and it will also be used as a basic HTPC. Any recommendation? Jack

I'm looking to build/create a high score board. So far i've been unable to find any led screens that text can be written on the PC and displayed on the board. Any ideas? Or, if you have some other examples maybe using felt with letters or maybe a pic of your home high score board. Trying to avoid my own handwriting! Cheers and thanks

Hello, This is my first build... Took a few months to make with the help of a friend. The point was to make something "movable" and that would not take as much space as traditional arcades, plus having everything integrated. So this is the result. Coupled with 15ft hdmi/power cables, the only thing left you need is a TV. Hey All. First time poster but long time reader :-) Anyway, A little while ago I decided to build an Arcade machine as a father son project. Seemed like a good idea at the time and a great way to re-live my child hood. From a simple 2 player table top concept, I have designed and built this baby... Upright 4 player. I have sourced components from Ultimarc (Andy has been awesome with his assistance) and learnt everything from scratch. Of course it is running HS front end (AMAZING). 27" LCD Screen I have included a trackball (Because it looks cool when lit up) Have 2 x U360 joysticks (to assist with analogue games) Have 2 x Servosticks with auto 4 and 8 way switchi…

So glad I added the HDMI out to my build, It enables me and my son to play the lego games on an external screen using wireless 360 controllers whilst sat on comfortable chairs My vpin will have the same option, because the pc itself is high spec I will be able to play the latest pc games too. Arcade controls for authenticity and modern controls for comfort, best of both worlds, highly recommend it to anyone building a cabinet.

Hi Guys, I am happy to announce my 1st project; a 2 player bartop acrade, which I have designed from scratch in Sketchup Pro. I'm building this project with a good buddy of mine, but on a very slow pace as we have a lot of other things to do in life and I still have to order some tools and parts for this project. My friend luckily has woodworker skills as he's following a education to become a proffessional furniture maker and also has the right tools to do the job. Although I'm a handy guy, I'm doing a better job with all the other stuff like the hardware and software and ofcourse the Hyperspin and emulator related stuff. Back to the project: It will house a 19" Sa…

Hi, We started to build a vertical arcade cabinet. I used my ver first cabinet I built and cut down to make it a bit small and more compact. I have added vinyl to the sides and have now mounted the screen and bezel. T-Molding added but I haven't peeled off the protective film yet but its chrome, Struggling to find someone to deisgn a one player control panel and print this for me Going for rbg buttons and have got a lot of old cabinet hardware for use. Will be a i5, 16gb ran with a Nvidia 7500 TI 2GB Grahpic card. Added a few pictures to show progress, Thanks
