Hey giys enough of the tank stick. I’m not a woodworker, I’m a software guy. i have an old shinobi cab, totally setup and functioning perfectly. Now it’s time to build the CP. who are the top suppliers of pre cut cnc control panels? 2 player, trackball ready. I built one from Monster for a friend and it was cool, but I’d like more rounded/curved top if that makes any sense??

Hi everyone, These forums have been great and I am getting into final steps of my machine setup. Couldnt have done it without you. Here is my roadblock..... I have an aimtrak lightgun and a utrak trackball both running via Mame. Games like golden tee and area 51 work great when launched straight from mame. Once I open the same games via hyperspin nothing works. The lightgun will still work in Nestopia so I know its close, but I am not sure what I have configured wrong. Does this have something to do with me using a keyboard encoder?

Last weekend I finished my latest arcade project: An "Emulation Supergun" Cab It's my 4th cab in total, after a Bartop, a pinball and a similar emu supergun, which I gifted to my sister. Now it was time to build a portale beast for my own. This new cab runs Arcade games and a nice set of my favorite consoles via GameEx. It's highly portable and can easily be hooked to any TV via HDMI. It any has 2 cables on the outside, a HDMI and a power cord. You can open the lid to store the gamepads and cables, if they are not needed. Hardware: - Case 80x30 cm build from 12mm MDF wood - Lid can be opened and is finished with a 3mm Lexan glass cover - Arcade butto…

Since I first started down the road of custom arcade, I've tried to push the limitations a bit. I've wanted to do things my way and not follow a specific community-driven design. I've wanted to have EVERY controller available. I've wanted VR and Steam. I've wanted... too much. Here's the start and end (yet not done- still have to figure out how to get the steering wheel and pedals inside this pre-built lottery table). I also am working on the decals. See sig for 3d render. ... I’ve been tinkering in SketchUp again, and mainly working on the graphics for now. I believe this is where I am headed with more to come: I drunkenly bought two wiimote guns…

Hi All, I thought I would share latest build with you all. I built this for a friend's photography studio to entertain her waiting clients. The design was a combination of the lines of a Midway PacMan cabinet and the "80's Arcade Trunk" from and expensive leather shop: http://coolmaterial.com/home/pinel-and-pinel-arcade-80s-trunk/ – though mostly what I took from that was the way the casters are incorporated into the design... and the chrome t-molding. Then I pushed the control panel out more for easier 2 player play. She wanted something slick and classy for here studio space, but had a late 70's arcade vibe, So I went with walnut plywood for the side…

Hey everyone. Today I want to show you the latest iteration of Gam3B0x. My home emulation console that is setup to play everything from Pong to X1/PS4 level games. (Before you bark at me, not EVERYTHING requires emulation. HyperSpin is INCREDIBLY versatile.) For those of you who aren't aware of my project(s) I focus on consoles, not arcade cabinets. Being born in '88 I missed the arcade boom by just a hair, and was raised on NES & Genesis. My project here is a love-letter to the gaming setups of the 90's. I played on a 13" CRT/VCR combo from the NES in 1990, through the X360 in 2007. I intend to inject as much TV Static, Scanlines, CRT Curve, VCR Blue Screen,…

Finally after 10+ years of wanting an arcade cabinet it is happening! I picked this cabinet up off Craigslist for $60 the first of the year (What a great start to a new year!) I do not know what type of cabinet it was originally because there is no information on the inside. I have not decided 100% on a theme, but I do like this idea a lot Thoughts? ***FINISHED***

Hey everyone, I just wanted to show off the new themes I have setup for my Gam3B0x console, how I've exploited the genre section to show different system types, and as always, provide some proof that you can have functional XBOX/X360/PS3/X1/PS4 and even *gasp* A Sega Geom wheel, all working, in Hyperspin. Before you tell me I'm full of shit, because *someone* always does. Watch the video. Modern systems @ 6:40 Explanation of how it works at @ 10:20 Enjoy! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n5cXovYnc1k

Showing off my arcade build based off this: http://www.instructables.com/id/Easy-Cab-arcade/ with many tweaks. Most obvious is show casing the innards. Decided to go with a black light theme with UV reactive cables, paint etc. Turned out really well. Specs: ASUS VN279Q 27" mounted vertically. Intel Core i3-6100 3.7 GHz 8GB DDR4 MSI H110M Pro-VD 2x 5TB Hard drives Creative X-Fi Titanium Sound Card Fairly cheap hardware but runs systems like PS2, Wii, Pinball FX2, etc perfectly. Still TONS to do on the software end but so far very playable. What do you guys think?

Hey guys, Wanted to share this tutorial on how I added music video capability to my hyperspin cabinet. Just launching Google Chrome in kiosk mode and using alt f4 to quit via rocket launcher back to HyperSpin. You could point it to multiple websites in a wheel such as youtube, google music, spotify, itunes, etc. I put a touchscreen in my cabinet and cut out a plex bezel so I dont see the monitor edge, but can use the touch. In short, you setup like you would a pc game, but launch google chrome with parameters such as –kiosk http://music.google.com https://gameroomsolutions.com/hyperspin-video-jukebox-launch-chrome-browser-kiosk-mode/ Video prev…

Hi all, Wondering if anyone has some advice when troubleshooting controllers in the FE. RocketLauncher is able to identify the 3rd party controller and use them in all emulation, my problem is solely in the FE with HyperSpin 1.4. The problem is the controller won't scroll through the titles or respect the button assignments 100% of hte time still. I've tried assigning buttons instead, but the threshold is pretty hairy. I have to hold the button down for a second and it'll scoot through a bunch of tiles on the menus. I've tried disabling it in HSHQ, and I get nothing. Is there an INI I need to alter? I'm using the Wolfware || Howler board (that seems to get a lot of hat…

My work recruited me to rebuild the X-Arcade MAME cabinet they built. If you ever seen one, they are complete and total junk. Went from a dell kiosk machine (a prebuilt bucket that cost less than 400) to this: Monitor: ViewSonic XG2701 27" 144Hz 1ms 1080p FreeSync Gaming Monitor Processor: Intel Core i5-7500 LGA 1151 7th Gen Core Desktop Processor Memory: Ballistix Sport LT 16GB Kit (8GBx2) DDR4 2400 MT/s (PC4-19200) DIMM 288-Pin - BLS2K8G4D240FSB (Gray) SSD: Intel 512GB M.2 80mm SSD Tower: NZXT S340 Mid Tower Computer Case, White (CA-S340W-W1) Power supply: Corsair CX Series 600 Watt 80 Plus Bronze Certified Non-Modular Power Supply (…

Hey everyone! I have 2 Aimtrack holsters that i'm wanting to mount to the side of my arcade cabinet. There are 3 screws at the end of the holster. I'm not handy with carpentry, so i'd like to know if it would be a decent proposition to sand the paint off one side of the holster and use either Gorilla Glue or Liquid Nails to adhere it to the cabinet? Are there any other good adhesives that will fit the bill? thanks in advance guys! Rich

Hey folks, Not posted for a long time, my last build was this time last year, converted a gambling machine for a friend which turned out awesome.. Since then however i've started to use my cnc router more and more and as a result have placed an 18mm kit on ebay. The reason for the post however is an offer to create bespoke panels either for a complete bartop or simply just a modified control panel. I have the cad/cam software to help where I can, this is purely a hobby for me so looking to offer competitive rates too. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/162399750257?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1558.l2649 (will probably change this kit to a t-mold …

This is the cabinet that started my Hyperspin journey so I thought it fitting to share. It was designed around an old PS Joystick that was handed down by a fallen friend so It was rebuilt by my older brother and the cabinet built around it. The screen does tilt but as it mostly plays pinball games I leave it like the above. He started with a simple MAME only build and I decided to knock it up a notch with Hyperspin and never looked back.

Here's the finished Street Fighter 2 machine I've been working on the past couple of months. I got the cabinet with no monitor or artwork , still had the power supply, speakers and the marquee light worked. Installed a sony trinitron 29 inch screen that I decased and was able to wire the tv's sound into the original arcade speakers. Also has a sub in the cab . Has a pc inside running hyperspin , made some custom intro's and added music to them. Has an IPAC2 and did a xbox usb controller hack to make the arcade controls work good with games on steam. Hooked it up to a projector for games nights. Here's a link to the finished product.

Well here is what i have so far with my build. I started with a Silver Strike Cabinet, an X-Arcade 2 player BYOC kit, and a lot of time. I am obviously not done. I still have the main computer components (I am using my gaming rig for now) a monitor (using gaming monitor) and a sub-woofer (because why not). ***UPDATE # i Don't Know*** It apears that I have failed to post regular updates on this build. It has also taken me a year to get this far. Here is where i stand as of today 07/03/2017: Empty Silver Strike Cab w/ working coin doors Makvision M3129DS-LG Tri-Sync SRT (new) X-Arcade 2 player DIY kit 8 buttons per player (I know I…

So i just learned about hyperspin about 2 weeks ago. Now building a cabinet. Figured i would just jump right in. Started with the plans for Moon patrol cab. But morphing it to suit my tastes. First widened it to 30". May expand the screen to a 32" later. Right now got a 20" monitor off ebay for $45. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

After putting it off for many years I've finally had some spare cash and decided to just go for it and build the cocktail table I've always wanted. I've got no plans it's just all in my head and has been scribbled down on cardboard, it's also evolving a little as I go along, more on that later. I'm documenting it on video so you can watch as it develops or falls apart. http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLlyHOs2WxYvLfG8V2c296k9fKDMapc5Ln Since starting the actual chest has been taken apart but it was kind of like this. The lid I tried to cut out with my jig saw and despite it having a laser on it and a guide the damn thing was a mess so I bought…
