Sorry for blasting the board with so many questions been following simply austins YT videos and about 4 hour long videos into it and ran into an issue. Ive already figured it out but wondering whats up with it. In the video he is using hyperlaunch....Im using rocketlauncher When running a mame rom in HS it gave me an error that rocketlauncherui/databases/mame.xml was missing. I knew it was in my HS database folder so just copied the folder into rocketlauncher and things are working. Did this database location change with RL? will all future systems I set up need the databases moved to RL? thanks

Sorry for the silly question. It just dawned on me that i've been exiting a game using escape on my keyboard this entire time. I'd like to be able to do this with a joystick. im still learning the software and im currently using an xbox 360 controller. I'd like to make a hotkey while in game to revert back to my hyperspin wheel. preferably a button combo hotkey like back +start. Can anyone please help me out? Thanks

Hi friends I have set all true in RL global to hide everything, but whenever I exit the game and go back to the wheel I can see the desktop background and task for few seconds why is like this? I have checked each systems set to use global too. Hope someone can help me million thanks I

Hi, I'm having trouble with Zsnesw151, when ever I launch a game from Hyperspin the emulator will open the game but then lose focus and goes back to Hyperspin. The emulator will run in the background so it is definitly running the game, but for some reason Hyperspin will block the screen. I can't remember having this issue before, I use Windows 10 and RocketLauncher v1.0.7

Hi am thinking of Installing Windows10 x64. Should i stick to Windows 7 or is it ok to upgrade OS. For some reason it feels like some emulators run better on win 10 but there might be problems i am not aware of. Please leave your suggestions and Answers below.

In RockerLauncherUI - I been able for NES to setup Retroarch as Default Emulator, but for some reason I can't do that for my Gameboy Systems. http://i.imgur.com/nGWU6fr.png Anyone know how fix this?

Currently running Hyperspin 1.4 and Rocketlauncher on a Windows 7 PC. Being as I only have 3 days left to upgrade to Windows 10 for free, is it worth it? How reliable is 10? Are there compatibility issues with the front end, emulators, programs etc. If anyone running Windows 10 can chime in that would be awesome.

Right now I am running Hyperspin on a pretty good "gaming" type computer. But I am planning on scaling back my hyperspin to MAME GAMES only (including CHDs)........... I would like to pick up a (hopefully cheap) second-hand computer to do this on..... What would the minimum computer requirements be to be able to play ALL of the games on MAME (including the CHDs)? Chris Upchurch just shared a video stating that he's disbanding his drives in response to HS officially becoming a commercial product. Thrilled to hear that there might be more stable dev on HyperSpin, but I can't find any info on the forums... Is this confirmed? Any links?

First off we all know that pre configured drives are not endorsed in any way by HyperSpin or by anyone else here. They are a waste of money and in most cases will cost you more money, heartache and time than if you started from scratch! Heheh thats if your lucky to be honest.... Hi all, I've had a lot of help from the forum in the past in setting up my cabinet that I built. I've got some good collections of media (Themes, Artwork, Video Snaps etc) for quite a few systems - PS1, MAME, Atari 2600, Atari 7800, Genesis etc. I just wondered if there's a way I could zip them up and share them with you guys? It would probably help someone from having to do all the leg work that I've done over the past few weeks/months in collating it all together? Hi there I have a Hyperspin set up working fine with MAME and a few other emulators but, for some reason, I can't get my joystick to work on the N64 emulator. I'm using an ipac2 to convert my joystick to key presses. My joystick is bound to the left/right/up/down arrows on the keyboard. I'm using mupen64plus via retroarch for the emulation. I can start the game with the buttons but the joystick just doesn't want to play at all? Any ideas? I'm sure it must just be a setting but I've no idea what to change to get this to work. On a fresh install of HyperSpin 1.3 with 1.4 update, when I start HyperSpin, the main wheel will start to spin uncontrollably and randomly stop on a system. My keyboard and mouse are wireless, and turned off, yet, the wheel will still spin on it's own. The install is on an SSD Window$ 7 x64 AMD Quadcore with 8gb of memory.

So I want to have Area 51 have its own main menu icon on the main wheel. Is there any way to not have it have to go to a subwheel and just launch mame straight to the rom when clicking it? I know you can do it with executables and pc games when setting up in hyperhq. Is it possible with using a rom and mame?

Hello guys, I need some help with game & watch. I got everything together and I launch on rocket launcher and I keep getting "Your libretro_GW is set to RetroArch but could not locate this file: E:\hyperspin\emulators\newretroarch\cores\retroarch.dll". I was told that I havent set up the core for game and watch. So this is what I did..... Went to RetroArch, online updater, core updater, than I choose game & watch, select it and it says on the bottom its downloading at 100%. So I save it and go back to rocket launcher and still says the same thing. So am I still missing something?? Do I still need to do something else on RetroArch after i downloaded the core?? Pl…

Can anyone help me out with their photoshop skills for a few mins. I have been trying to customize different areas of HyperSpin and was trying to do the same for the quit screen using the images attached below for yes and no. I only have access to a photoshop type program on my iPad and the results were less then ideal because it was left all pixelated around the edges. Just hoping someone can spare a few mins for me and just cut out the yes and no buttons, erase the background leaving only the button and base. The shadow effect under is not needed either and would probably be easier to cut it out also along the edge of the base. If someone has a few mins to spare to cut …

I've been looking for a thread but didn't find any and I'd love to see screenshots of members HP set ups. Especially the custom set ups and artwork. Do you all use the generic download artwork, videos, themes, wheels? or do you all have your own customized stuff you created to fit the look/theme you want? Post it here or please point me to the thread if one already exists. Did someone set up all artwork to fit a specific theme? ie star wars or any other movie? or do you just reserve that stuff for the cabinet sides? I'd love to get inspired and get ideas for my own.

I have this awful image tearing in HyperSpin. Mostly it happens in themes when moving images intersect with each other or the border of the video. Here are two pictures which show what I mean for both cases: I tried it on two different machines with various settings in the optimizer tab in HyperHQ but had no luck with this issue. Even turning everything off doesn’t seem to work. Forced VSync in the graphics driver doesn’t seem to do anything on this matter as well. Help would be much appreciated.

Normally I'm able to launch PC programs fine. I set them up in rocketlauncher and look for the .exe. I can't find a way to launch a windows 10 app though. Where would someone find the .exe or equivalent for that? Has anyone set Hyperspin up to use the Xbox or PS4 app yet?

Recently I obtained a smashing drive cab missing the crt monitor. I put a LCD tv in via vga input and hooked up everything and the smashing drive game plays fine. I decided to get a little adventageous and hooked up a pc running hyperspin so i could use the gas and brake peddles on the smashing drive hooked up via A-Pac USB (to pc)along with a xbox 360 wireless speed wheel (to pc microsoft wireless dongle)for steering wheel use. Everything works fine through mame. with that being said i can play smashing drive original game and switch over to pc on the hdmi input. Hi all I've got Hyperspin set up for MAME and Genesis. On my MAME files I have a specific theme for each game (for instance, if I spin to Donkey Kong a large ape flies on to the screen whilst the video cap plays) etc. I just wondered if anyone has anything similar for Genesis/Mega drive games and also some of the other systems available? I can't find anything in the download section but maybe I'm not searching for the right thing? I was trying to search for "game themes" ? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks :-)
