Hi Everyone! I've been updating my pin, and wanting to (finally) add solenoids, cree leds, and maybe other lights to my build. I'm at a loss of 1) what interface I should use (for example: LEDWiz), and 2) what are the recommended hardware (for example: type of solenoid, where to buy the hardware, etc.). Help is much appreciated!!!

I've been collecting parts for my build for longer than I'd like to admit, life kept getting in the way. Original design was for a 46" screen directly mounted into a widebody Judge Dredd cab. Because "life" I've had to move a few times, and I finally have a workspace and started again. Got the basics set up and this happened: Original model was a 46" Samsung: http://www.samsung.com/us/support/owners/product/UN46EH6000FXZA It seems looking around that the options are limited for 46" LED tvs, most are 43" or 50". I could go with a 43" screen and sink it down into the playfield and get some glass I suppose. I'm looking for suggestions on a good screen to…

So I have the following CP plan, I have started ordering buttons and some other items. But I need advice. My setup will consist of: 2 Sanwa balltop sticks 1 Trackball (U-Trak high lip) 1 Spinner (not sure which brand) 26 Happ concave long stem buttons (.187" terminals) Some type of Control Board to run it (iPAC, Opti-Pac, Mini-PAC Opti, etc... yeesh, so many configurations) I ordered two Sanwa JLF balltop sticks — http://www.focusattack.com/sanwa-jlf-tp-8yt-joystick/ — but Ultimarc is saying that in order for me to attach them to one of their boards I will need an adapter. No one is sure what adapter, although Jaleel at Focus Attack is trying to sort i…

... to have them serve double-duty as Mouse" buttons when using an Ultimarc U-Trac trackball outside of MAME? I hope I was clear, it's kinda difficult for me to put into words... What I'm trying to do is avoid having to dedicate two additional pushbuttons as LEFT and RIGHT mouse buttons for outside of HyperSpin... when I would rather just use two game playing pushbuttons for that... Anyone? : )

Currently getting my build list together and I'm struggling with the sound system. Do you guys use a regular pc sound system ? I'm sure I've read that vp can split the rom sounds from the table sounds, if so do I need something specific for this ? Ordinary stereo or 5.1? A sub and 2 speakers in the DMD and that's it? Any recommendations are welcome. Thanks Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk

This is now for sale! - http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/topic/11627-planet-pinball-widebody-4630real-dmd-for-sale/ This my prized Planet Pinball Widebody 46/30/real DMD. I put a lot of handwork into this cabinet and paid special attention to a lot of details. I've only completed my build a couple of months ago, but wanted to post an updated post here! The artwork is very high quality designed by Stuzza and printed by Lucian. The cabinet has the following - Custom Built Wide Body Cabinet from high quality oak plywood from Mameman's plans with biscuit joints. 46" Samsung LED 30" NEC LCD (perfect for back glass) Intel I5 3570k Noctua Nh-d14 Cpu Cooler Gigabyte …

rather than stick these posts in one of the build threads, I thought I'd create a thread with some of my latest CNC fun Zeb, mentioned fake coin doors this afternoon, an hour later we have this! have not tried it yet but the coin eject holes should be cut to accept the plastic inserts you can get so with a coat of black and a couple cheap inserts it would probably look fairly convincing.

Been looking to do a Visual pinball machine build now for about a year. So when I decided to build a new gaming pc I thought it would be a great idea to use my old gaming pc for this project. So I started out doing a lot of research, and came to the conclusion that I would use a old gutted out pinball cab instead of building my own. So I jumped on my local Craig's list page to look around, and had no luck on finding a cab. I looked for a month or two, but nothing ever came up. So my next step was to contact people in the local pinball group and see if anyone could help and guide me through this process. As luck would have it someone was very experienced in building VP cab…

Hello all. Got everything ready to convert my virtual pin to LEDs and feedback with contactors. Also read the pinball 101 document and sorta have a handle on things. But I've got a few questions, I have a 12v supply for the LEDs. And a 24v supply for my 7 contactors and my knocker. The contactors I understand can run directly off the ledwiz and no need for a relay? My main question is how to wire the knocker. The knocker I know for sure I need a relay. I'm using the standard car relays. 87 87a 30 86 85 I'm just not sure how to wire it! It has the pins 30 which I think goes to my 24v power supply directly. 85 goes to ground. Here is the part I don't know. Does 87 or 87…
