Hi, I am newbie here and I need to ask if anyone has experience with the Ultimate I/O board. I just bought it and with Joy sticks and RGB buttons. First off the RGB buttons were not connected to a connector and I have to figure out the correct wiring of the connector. Plus I added the RGB led Illuminated handles to the joysticks. I need assistance in putting them on. Once there were no Instructions. I have asked for them and was told they are are all over the internet. Well like being a newbie i can not find them any place. I need a push in the right direction so I can get this wired up. So I am using a 6 button, coin and menu buttons. Plus I have the MiniGrip …

Hi all. I have 2 aimtraks working great in supermodel jurassic park, working recoil, no issues there. Hyperspin working great, have been using this software for years, dont often ask for help as I usually figure things out The issue I have is I cant exit the supermodel emulator and get back to Hyperspin. Esc key exits the game and works fine from keyboard. I have tried xpadder and joy2key and tested the esc mapping in windows fine but when in supermodel emulation it doesnt work. If I disable raw input in supermodel then it works great and I can exit but I need raw input for the aimtrak guns to work in dual mode. I have also tried enabling direct input and raw i…

Here is my Vewlix 32″ Clone (2 Player) cabinet build. I have to admit it maybe took a lot longer to finish than I planned. I slowly worked on it over a few years in my apartment in Bondi, Sydney, Australia. A lot of it was very much trial and error but I am happy with the end results. Hyperspin + RocketLauncher configuration and setup took just as long if not more than hardware build. Monitor: AOC Q3279VWF8 31.5" WQHD FreeSync Speakers: Logitech Buttons: Sanwa Button (Screw-in) OBSN-30-w Joystick: Sanwa Joystick JLF-TP-8YT-W I-PAC 4 Interface PC to Arcade Controls Controllers: Logitech Gamepad F710 …

Hi Forum Members, I purchased a 32in upright 4 player cabinet from recroom masters and I love it. Its finally all setup and I ordered side art from them too. The only thing it is missing is some sort of guide or cheat sheet that gives a quick rundown of what original console buttons each of the control panel buttons are mapped to. For example, I would like to add a vinyl sheet (sticker, decal, etc) to the cabinet and attach it to the roughly 3 inch tall horizontal wood board that runs the width of the cabinet right underneath the monitor. This sheet would show all the emulators I have installed on hyperspin (mame, NES, SNES, etc) horizontally, with next to eac…

Hey I’m looking for a video where the dude showed his cabinet and his side art was like comic like meaning there were rectangles everywhere and there was art in each one. I think he had red trim, it was from several years ago. Does anyone know what I’m talking about or have a link? I’m looking to buy side art to replace what I have on my cabinet and want to do something like that I think Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hi. I've been drooling over all the full size virtual pinball cabinets for a while now. Eventually I would like to build one. I found a ton of guides on how to do so. I thought it might be fun (and cheaper) to start with a mini cabinet using a laptop screen. I've seen videos of similar cabinets but no real guides on building something like that. I'm assuming there are better alternatives to running it with a full PC (such as Android) but I'm not sure how the controls would work or if dual monitors would still be supported. If anyone has any links to something like this I would appreciate it.

I'm rebuilding a mame cabinet that's been out of use for a number of years. CRT and original monitors are out of the question sadly due to weight and me not being clued up on the internals, so it's TFT, LCD or LED.... maybe with a scan line generator. Ratio other than 4:3 being ideal I'm at a loss, happy to go second hand if need be too. Ideally I'm going to make the monitor manually rotate, I haven't the room for two cabinets and I love pacman, Tapper, the Simpsons etc. so can't compromise here it has to do horizontal and vertical games well. The question is, given what is available on the UK market now monitor wise (under £200) what am I best going f…

I bought a custom cabinet that someone made and I'm familiarizing myself with the software. I added the Daphne emulator and roms...got a feel for how that sort of works, but I have a couple questions. 1. How do you resolve games not working? Like none of the NFL Blitz games will come up...they just go back to the wheel. Same with Simpsons Bowling...and there are a number of games like that. 2. Along those same lines...my trackball doesn't seem to be recognized by Golden Tee when trying to move it left or right (to switch clubs or too hook/slice the ball). I can't seem to get that resolved. 3. When I go to the MAME emulator to play games from...there …

Greetings programs, First, I'd like to give a huge shout out to the entire arcade community - from HS and Mame, to BYOAC and everything in between, THANKS! Building my own cabinet has, in a way, completed something in my life. After thinking of the ideal shape cabinet for me, I thought the classic Galaga was great. Besides being one of my favorites, I love the classic shape. I am a huge fan Tron which is what was initially driving the whole project. Guess I always wanted both a Tron and Galaga cab. I have the x-arcade Tank Stick so the inner part of my cab had to be about 30". I decided to make the side panels more narrow (24") as it needed to fit through most d…

Right peeps, this might prove to be an interesting "build log" on the forum! As some of you know, I'm currently on a commercial support vessel being converted in to a luxury yacht for my uncle. It's a family project... I decided to bring my Shield TV onboard and he's impressed with what it can do and how easy it is to use. There's a "home cinema" below deck but it was extremely low tech. Ripped out the ancient CRT TV and replaced it with a 2nd hand LCD TV for now. Definite improvement BUT a long way from what we ultimately want. Exterior work on the yacht is going ahead in Latvia and I'm trying to plan this out in the 5 days it'll take us to get t…

Hi my fellow Hyperspinners. I've been planning to build a cab ever since I discovered Hyperspin. More than a year ago I ordered all the necessary parts for building the cab of my dreams only to discover that the design I went for wouldn't fit through the doors to my apartment and my plans to make it separable would be way to expensive to do in Denmark. Since then I discovered the Vewlix styled cab and instantaneously fell in love. I scoured the web for the perfect plans to fit my needs as well as woodworking abilities. Some time passed. I kept myself occupied by helping my brother out with his bartop build. Then finally Donnei contacted me regarding a design cal…

I would like to know if both hyperspin and rocketlauncher there is the possibility of running the emulator next to a batscript to which it would change the settings of the control when running a given game.

Finally finished my fourth hyperspin build. I previously had a cocktail, a 2 player cabinet and a 4 player cabinet all running hyperspin. I set out to build a dedicated lightgun cabinet. It was going to be a small pedestal cabinet with 1 joystick/button setup and two light guns. I ended up doing a full custom 2 player pedestal with two light guns. I think it turned out great, setup to play the standard arcade emulators and PC games. 2 ultimarc u360's and 2 ultimarc aimtrak guns. GeForce 970 GPU with a 43" flat screen. Here are some pics of the final product!

I recently started my second build project and decided to do a much better job of documenting it throughout the process. My first build was a standard 4-player MAME cabinet (Ultimate Arcade Blueprint with a gutted CRT) which was banished to the basement by the wife. She was patient with it basically in our living room for the last several years so I can’t complain. But, as in all great marriages, we found compromise. So I started out on a build that will look a bit more like a piece of furniture and less like a giant toy. I like the viewlix arcade side profile, but with less of a footprint, so started searching for inspiration when I came across a YouTube video by lo…

So I've always wanted a 2 player cocktail arcade. And last week I found myself with about 6 hours of free time in a woodshop, and a 4×8 sheet of oak ply- so I decided to just do it. I based my build off of an original pac-man cab. Everything is assembled and I'm ready to cut in my monitor- here is where I'm in need of some inspiration. I'm building this for my 6yr old son, and I know the first thing he will ask when I fire it up is "where is turtles and Mario like we play downstairs?" I have a tournament solitaire conversion cab running HS and my "BARCADE" custom HS cut into the side of my bar in the basement. I've seen the cocktail cabs with side controls for the hori…

I'm in the process of building my cab... Marked up the wood today, and Hyperspin machine is in progress too, but the one thing I can't decide on is what the final cab artwork should be... I'm not really looking for suggestions here, bit more now other people decided on what they wanted to do. So, how did you decide???

Hi! Im just making the Hyperspin Rocketlauncher compilation to my Full arcade project. (link: http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/topic,157256.40.html) I have few questions: 1. How can i add new emulators for this compilation out from the original Hyperspin (global) list . Now i have Mame, SNES, Nes etc but if i want to for example add Turbo Engine 16 (added allready emulator for it) - how can i get it to global and choose the emu + romdir for it? 2.Im thinking about usein this for Spotify Jukebox too, though many arcadecontrols forumusers tell me not to. But IF i do, how can i add it to use with Hyperspin? 3.Themes: I just insta…
