hey guys i'm working on a sheild tv and sega cd in hyperspin and i'm having problems with the bios directory. i turn on hyperspin and select a game thats not sega cd and i hit F1 to go to retroarch menu to change the directory of my Bios and i can't change where the bios at located it won't even let me select internal memory just Application Dir. so i decided to move the bio files to the stock location but it seems i can't find the retroarch program file. Both the games and Bios for sega CD work within RA alone. Does everyone have there sheilds rooted?

Hi all, I got RetroArch installed on my 2 Shields yesterday and can launch games. The buttons on the Shield controller are not setup well by default. For example I want to set the A and B buttons of the classic NES controller to be in different places on the Shield controller from where the default is. Anyone know of a recently made (so it's still valid) YouTube video that shows how to customize a controller in RetroArch Android and save those settings? Or can you walk me through it by a good, detailed explanation here? I don't have a ton of time to spend to get this running but that may be my last step left is getting the controls setup. I have Nintendo 64 setup in Hyperspin Android and when I launch a game it opens to the emulator instead of launching the game itself. I have installed Mupen64Plus AE paid version. I have about 5 other systems working as they should so not sure why these 2 are an issue. So @Riffman81, @CriticalCid & co have been putting some serious hours into recording Hyperspin themes for use with Launchbox. heres a quick preview of them in Hyperspin android I have commented before and the swf and animation issues with HS themes in Android and the video themes are looking like a viable option to replace some themes in my setup. there are limitations with using full screen videos and I don't really understand the 4x3 16x9 thing as I don't notice the difference much. Its VERY easy for me to make a batch of theme zips that match all the videos made by the LB guys so if there's interest or I decide to use more I will drop …

Get even looking scan lines on all your retro cores with interger scale off on a 1080p screen

Mods if this is in the wrong section please move it. This is the closest you're gonna get (unless there's something better out there) to having scan lines that don't look un even with interger scale off. I know a lot of people still have 1080p monitors and also like their games with scanlines but the only way to get them looking good was to have the interger scale on which made the overall screen look smaller, this is so you can have a similar effect but with the correct screen ratio. Has anybody managed to get neo geo cd games to play through mess? I have a neocd folder and a subfolder - named the same - , put neo geo cd bios and a handful of games and when i try to launch any of them, it gets up to the point where the mame frame appears asking to press ok, then kicks back Any ideas?

I set up Dreamcast. Downloaded last nightly, it's called just r7 in Shield settings. Looked at Thatman's Setup Notes. Basic setup works as expected. Setup Shield controllers, I have two of them. Launched a game, it starts up. Now, as soon as I touch any button on any of the controllers, Reicast crashes. I tried restarting, disabling the second controller, changing all options in Launch Editor for the controllers, still the same. Anyone? I should add that if I click in the game window with my mouse the touch controls appear and I can click around with my mouse without any crashes.

Hi all, This is my first post (please be gentle ). I've been lurking for a while, reading a lot and I've managed to get HyperSpin setup on my PC with a whole bunch of systems. I've also got HyperSpin installed on my NVIDIA Shield Portable. So far on the shield I've got MegaDrive/Genesis, GBA, PSX and N64 working through RetroArch but I'm getting no where with MAME. I'm using a 0.182 romset, I know this is the most recent so I wondered if that might be the problem? However launching the games manually in MAME4Droid works fine. I've tried editing the settings file with the instructions in this thread to work with MAME4Droid. That didn't work so I tried setting it …

This version is based on the latest final burn alpha v0.2.97.38 Which command should be used to launch games through hyperspin? I've already got final burn alpha on my setup (that is the older version - v0.2.97.30) and i use fb_alpha_libretro_android.so. What about the latest version though? Would it be the same?

hello guys! i have a problem when i launch a game by hyperspin on my shield ( nes, neogeo pocket,....) , i have always the overlay of the pad on the screen , and i can't do anything. but if i launch a game by retroarch no problem , full screen and my shield controller work. have i forget something in the settings ?

Anyone else having issues with adding systems?? Recently ive tried to add Dreamcast, Saturn, Amiga and commodore 64. the only system that shows up is saturn but fails to load roms (ive checked rom paths etc) The rest dont even show up. Ive checked .ini files, created databases based on rom set and all media present. Ill add the .ini and .xml files for the systems in question to see if anyone can see anything a miss. Has anyone found a version of Reicast that works on the new NVIDIA Shield TV (2017 version) ? I have tried it all to point the bios to Reicast when it asks for a bios but it just wont let you do it. Also it flags up with a lib error each time I enter Reicast on the Shield. I am using a 3tb external hard drive and a 16gb NVS (2017) to play games, all other 63 systems work except this, due to the inability to point to the bios I have the bios files on the shield in dc/data folder and even if I manually set this to point it at the emulator keeps asking for it I got it working ok on previous NVS but latest version seems to have a lot of problems with …

Is it me or does practically every other game for Sega Saturn NOT work on uoYabause ? I have them in bin/cue format. Either it doesn't load or graphics are poor so it's unplayable. Just to clarify many do work but a LOT don't I have tried changing the settings etc but no luck. I am just checking so I don't waste forever trying to get them to load when they just won't Is there a compatibility list anywhere to see which ones work on Android ? Thanks

Hey guys, It's my first time writing in a forum, so I'm apologizing beforehand if I'm not placing/posting my topic correctly or even am asking a stupid question. I didn't find any answers here, so I'm just gonna ask you guys directly. Is there a way to display for example the 20 latest played roms in Hyperspin. So I'm still putting everything together for getting this to work on my Nvidia Shield Android TV. It's slow going but I think I'm getting it. I haven't been able to figure out how to get Android games going on it though. I have a database and setting file though I'm not sure I have a good ini file. The other part of my question is how to acutally get it to populate, I would need an Android media folder, right? Any help would be grateful! Thanks! Hey everyone, I've been trying to set up different wheels for MAME and I've run into an issue. I have all of my MAME videos in the MAME media folder and I have tried to direct the Capcom Classics.ini to the said folder but I isn't working. I've copied the MAME.ini and renamed it to Capcom Classics.ini and the video path looks like: [video defaults] path=H:\hyperspin\Media\MAME\Video\ Is there anything else I should change in the ini to get this to work?

I have several duplicates for MAME, which I can totally live with, but only one rom in the duplicates will run the video media preview. Is there a work around to this? Or is there an easy way to only keep the parent rom?
