Hopefully I'm in the right section on the forum for this. If not, I apologize and feel free to move this topic. I found a few vb homebrew project roms over at planetvb.com and I would like to add them into my hyperspin wheel. I tried using Don's list generator, but the games didn't show up. I assume it's because they are new and might not be on the list. Any help would be appreciated.

How do i change out the text for an image on the main wheel for a system? IE: the text Sony PSP vs an image. I have looked EVERYWHERE! C:\Hyperspin\Media\Sony PSP\Themes C:\Hyperspin\Media\Sony PSP\Wheel ETC!!! Where do i put the file and what do i call it ? "Sony PSP.png" ? lso where in the world is this thing loading these "themes" for the main system from for the life of me its not C:\Hyperspin\Media\Sony PSP\Themes\default.zip OR C:\Hyperspin\Media\Sony PSP\Themes\Default

Wondering if it would be easy/possible to incorporate into HyperHQ or HyperLaunchHQ an option to allow clone roms to be seen in merged sets. I guess mostly for MAME. thomas

Ok, so i have MESS installed and working and I also have the 0.160 romset. I've noticed that all of the roms have use the short hand naming system. i guess my question is does Mess only act and an emulator in hyperspin? and say for instance do i have to rename all of the Apple 2 roms to work with game art etc> or is there another way>?

So, I have music for all my videos on every wheel and game. BUT....is there a way to have a consistent soundtrack playing also? I ask cause I recently decided to try out game ex (out of curiosity). There are certain options that I like, but overall HS looks so much better. One of the options I like is the ambiance of an arcade playing in the background. Can this be implemented?

Does anyone have xml lists or any lists for that matter with only working games? A lot of the games in the official XML lists do not work. I've setup N64, Jaguar and Dreamcast so far with alternate emulators and tried to get as many working games as I could (working properly that is - games without weird texture issues or sound issues) Just wondering if anyone had gone through the other systems. I know a lot of the Atari games have problems. There's nothing worse than trying to show off my hyprspin to other people and every game they select doesn't work.

I don't know if it's that obvious or if I'm the only one doing that, but when I thought I'd share my little game with everyone here. When I have friends over, we fire up Hyperspin on my retrogaming box, and set up the time before attract mode is activated very low in HyperHQ (like 15 seconds). Someone takes the first gamepad and selects a system, and then waits for attract mode to kick in. Once it stops on a game, the person holding the gamepad starts it and plays with it with everyone else cheering him on. The goal is to last at least 10 minutes on a game, if that's possible Then we exit the game and hand the gamepad to someone else. It's a great way to disc…

Hi and thanks for reading this. I was looking for a thread that Aletterfromthelostdays started last year and I found it here > http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/topic/6568-wip-all-arcade-systems-under-one-wheel-genre-subwheel-trick/#entry120853 Problem is his folder doesn't exist anymore at FTP. So I have some mame 152 roms, but i notice the latest version of mame is 160. How do I get it to work? I keep reading about updating the roms, but no guide on what I need and what is the exact process. Please help. When I try to play the roms with mame 160 i get an error regarding no chd and no artwork...

built a hyperspin upright a while back and was looking to make something a bit smaller like a bartop. i have an old acer laptop that i planned on using. Specs: processor : intel core 2 duo T5250 @ 1.5 , 1.5 ram 2 GB gpu: mobile intel 965 express chipset has vista on it now with a small hdd. i have a spare hdd and might be able to get 32bit windows 7 or even downgrade to XP, did a test run of just hyperspin, no media emulators or roms and things are stuttering, played around in the optimizer and i can't seem to get it to run any smoother. should i waste my time trying to use hyperspin or try another more lightweight FE?
