Has there ever been an effort to make a genre list of 2 player games, and also of 4 player games for the various systems? I've been playing a lot with the kids lately, and it takes a long time of trial an error going through like all of the SNES games. I can never remember which ones out of the hundreds of games are and aren't. It goes a little something like this: "oh wait, this one is 2 players isn't it?, hit enter, let game load,...no wait it's not,....damn...I could have sworn it was back when i was 15. Ok, wait, this one is for sure i remember it!, hit enter, let game load....no, no, damn. not this one either. Well i know for sure TMNT is!" lol.

Ugh. Hoping for a response to this this time, as last time it happened I got no replies and my issue magically resolved itself. I'll offer pictorial evidence of my problem this time as well. So. Here's what my Final Fantasy VII entries in the Playstation wheel are meant to look like: [attachment=14716:40959.attach] That is my Disc 1 wheel entry. Here is what Disc 2 and Disc 3 both look like now, after I tried making my own video clips for them so they would show gameplay which actually occurs on those discs: [attachment=14717:40960.attach] As you can see, the very frame the video clip lives in has gone away and left no forwarding address. Disc 2 and …

Hey, I'm blown away by Hyperspin, and started recently building my own arcade machine. Need a PC though. I'm mostly going to play NES, Nintendo 64, Sega Genesis, SNES, maaaaybe some dreamcast and Sega Saturn. Also it would be nice if the games and animations would run smoothly. I'm looking at this PC at the moment. Cooler Master Elite 344 Mini Tower Sort Cooler Master B500 VER.2, 500W PSU ASUS B85M-G, Socket-1150 Intel Pentium G3240 Crucial DDR3 1600MHz 4GB MSI GeForce GTX 750 1GB PhysX CUDA ASUS DVD Writer, DRW-24F1ST WD Desktop Blue 500GB Logitech Desktop MK120 (Nordic) Microsoft Windows 8.1 64-bit Most of this is very cryptic to me. What I know is it's…

Hey everyone, I recently began pulling some files together to make Fade art for Sega Saturn. I uploaded my progress so far to my folder, its very much still a WIP. My question is to those that are much more talented at MS Paint and Photoshop than I am. How would you suggest I clean up some of the images? I did some very basic work with MS paint for ones that I felt needed some touching up; I currently don't own photoshop. I tried to get high quality artwork to begin with. Basically, I'm hoping for any general tips as to how to clean up images, make them sharper, etc. I'm at a very basic level when it comes to this stuff. I tried to stay true to the original games themse…

Virtual Jaguar 2.1.2 was released a few days ago https://icculus.org/virtualjaguar/. This release contains a few bug fixes that I believe increases compatibility. 2.1.1 was released shortly before which has much needed input mapping improvements. Good to see two releases in the same month. I am sure these updates will make it into Libretro before Retroarch 1.1 release.

Hi guys im pretty new round here but have build a nice cabinet over the last 4 months, i am now at the stage of configuration and seemed to be stumped with the ipac2. Its all wired and working from what i can tell, i have a 2 player cab with 6 buttons next to the joystick for each player, i have then added one button i was hoping for enter and exit in menus. Then i have 1 player and 2 player buttons and two more on each side of the cabinet hopefully for pinball. From what i can see the ipac2 is programmed out of the box to work with mame config, but i cant for the life of me understand how it all works with winipac and then how do i get it to all work with hyperspin? …

Hey all! I have been getting a little frustrated with figuring out how to use my XBOX 360 controller to control Hyperspin's frontend. A few problems exist: 1. If I enable joystick controls in HyperHQ, the main system wheel will spin forever as soon as I try using the controller to move up and down on the wheel. I have also tried a Steelseries 3GC controller and the problem still exists. 2. Because of the problem above, I am forced to use an Xpadder profile for the frontend with controller keys mapped to keyboard navigation buttons set in HyperHQ. And since I've mapped my controller in each emulator I'm using, I then need to use Hyperlaunch HQ to load a blank Xpadder pro…

I am currently throwing around a few ideas for a emulation box build, I decided to use Hyperspin to be the front end for the emulation. My questions are if I were to use emulators for Atari 2600, NES, SNES, Game Boy, GBA, N64, Sega Genesis, 32X, CD, Saturn, and PS1, including boxart, wheelart, and gameplay videos about how big of a HDD would you recommend? Is it possible for Hyperspin to read iso files from a disc drive? For example, let's say I have 10 PS1 games on my HDD, and I want to play a game I have a backup copy of on a disc, could I select the game from the wheel, then play it from the disc?

I have heard a lot of talk about what systems people are using, with different emulators with the most success. I did a lot of reading before settling on a system and OS. With the most demanding systems being steam/pc , dreamcast, and ps2. What is everyone using? This might save a little footwork and a lot of questions. My setup is as follows..... The most demanding systems are ps2 and dreamcast....my specs are as follows.....and it runs flawlessly.....no slowdowns no glitches. Processor: AMD A10 6800K 4.1GHz Quad Core APU integrated graphics processor Ram: 8GB DDR3 Motherboard: GA-F2A55M-HD2 Socket FM2 A55 mATX Video Card: Integrated Radeon HD 8670D Hard Driv…

_wpeLdSpmdU ZVC4exSF9KM hKYzecBxJM0 This is split into three youtube videos (hopefully audio won't be erased by them). I tried to get enough of each theme to give a general idea, though each is too long a montage video on them to record them all the way through for this preview. This is what I have been working on. I am not in any way a practiced theme maker but I played around with these till I was personally happy with them. Used character wallpapers, comic thumbnails as images, customized special series swfs, custom pointer, sounds from super hero cartoons, and some pretty good and appropriate super hero tribute videos on youtube. My cab is a super hero themed…

I discovered Hyperspin last year, installed it, signed up for this site and Emumovies and started configuring different emulators and options, For certain reasons, among them the computer breaking, I abandoned the program for almost a year. But recently I read about RocketLauncher and the option of selecting an alternate emulator for certain games and decided to start from scratch. I also read about MESS being able to emulate the Atari 7800 much better than before and many people preferring it now to ProSystem So, this weekend, after two or three clean installs and many hours of tutorials reading and watching, I managed to get Hyperspin, Hyperlaunch and HyperlaunchHQ w…

Hey guys, i am still building hard on all software and art stuff to get my htpc ready for console games. i have a question about the analog on a controller (xboxone) is it possible to map the analog stick so it thinks it's the mouse. it's handy for games like Popcap and stuff. on the other hand just curious about the ps4 joystick with the pad and stuff on it. what is possible with that? don't know if anyone tried stuff on the ps4 controller yet, i just want to know if the analog can be used as a mouse. Thanks and a whole other question, is there someone on this forum that can convert a Gamecube controller to usb! no i am not searching for an adapter i just want controll…

Looking for opinion on the xin-mo vs mini i-pac. The pedestal is a 2 player, 8 button each, plus trackball . I was told the mini i-pac has a lag or doesn't register as well. Anyone have an opinion on this and/or suggestion?
