So due to unfortunate events lately, I have lost most of my hyperspin setup. In trying to get everything back to normal, I thought it might be a good time to switch over the RetroArch as it seems pretty simple to keep everything up to date. Unfortunately I have hit a wall. I have setup RetroArch as though it were any other emulator, made sure it ran outside of RocketLauncher and everything works great. I have hyperspin setup over a mapped network share and want to use xpadders autoprofile. It works fine for programs on my local machine but doesnt switch profiles for programs over the network. Has anybody else had this issue or no a way to make this work? I dont mind moving hyperspin over to the local machine but its a lot easier to update over the share

This button I have my finger on is not customizable in the MAME tab menu. It exits the game which makes it nearly impossible to finish a game because player 2 eventually hits it. I'm fairly new to joytokey and hyperspin. It registers as "button 3" on joytokey. Any suggestions?

Hi all, ¿is there any way to preventing Hyperspin to load theme Artbox/Video/Themes when you navigate? I was thinking something like having a key pressed, and while you keep pressed media won't load, and then when you release it, everything turns to normality (I wish some bug caused that, but... lucky me). The reason for that, is because althought Hyperspin appearance is pretty nice, let's face it, the wheels are difficult to read because of the different shapes/logos/fonts/colors... I need some time to read what titles I'm moving and what ones are above/below, but after I barely i've started to read, bum!!! boxart or theme appears in the middle of screen preventing …

I am trying to set this up but no matter what I do it keeps asking for steam.exe There is supposed to be an alternative to steam in the module to run it without playing through steam.exe I am using latest version 2.1.2 module, latest xml from Hyperlist I have followed module info to the letter in RocketLauncher setup of Pinball FX2 but stil no luck Thanks for any advice

Hi, I have been searching for different special artworks. Ideally I would like to have one showing an xbox controller and another showing a joystick. They don't need to be animated, its just to indicate the control scheme for each different emulator. Does anyone have these already or know of a free software in order to create them? Many thanks! G

Finally setting up Sega Naomi. Which emulator should I use? I've heard some say Demul, Makaron and even NullDC. Most of the stuff I've been reading is a couple years old. Just trying to figure this one out. My computer is a beast so I'm not worried about performance, just the one with best compatibility. Any recommendations?

I have been reading article after article and tutorial after tutorial, and i very, very confused of where to start. So, let me give explain my adventure so far. I have downloaded the latest version of MAME .184, also i have the matching MERGED rom set .184. Hi guys, I'm putting together a new machine to run Hyperspin, and I'm trying to plan my storage. I have a NAS with standard IDE HDDs, and I know that will be fine for a lot of older ROMs that are loaded into system memory before starting. My question is: do any of the newer games (PS1/PS2/Gameube/Wii) benefit from being on a SSD? will loading times differ greatly between an SSD in the HTPC itself vs. standard HDDS on my NAS? Thanks...

Hi Guys Long time out of the game, just received my new arcade cabinet from pixel arcades and am setting up my Hyperspin 1.4 and RocketLauncher pc. hey my friends my problem is that changing the profiles between the emulator profile and the hyperspin menu .... can someone tell my how it works in rocketlauncher i can setting the profile for the emulator but i dont know how i set the profile for hyperspin because i can change rocketlauncher default but no hyperspin in the joy to key application i associtate profiles with the exes and choose the mode nothing (keep as is it)

Hi guys, I'm planning to build a cabinet in time but until then I'm trying to get things setup and working with all the bugs worked out. My big struggle has been controls so I need some expert advice. I'm going to try and break down what I want to do and I'm pretty sure I can't be the only one to want this type of setup so I'm hoping to figure out the best way to achieve this. Hello HS Community, I'm experiencing an issue with SSF 012 r4 and I have everything setup correctly, I think, however it's not working. I'm getting an error in Rocketlauncher that says SSF only supports NFGICUEICCDIISO however, you are attempting to load ".iso". Everything works fine in SSF directly; The error seems to be a false positive since iso is clearly in ssf extension list, however RocketLauncher feels like the extension isn't supported. I had SSF working in Windows 8 but I recently updated to Windows 10 so I had to reconfigure paths and reinstall daemon tools. It looks like DT on Win10 doesn't support virtual scsi so I'm not sure if this is the problem.…

I just updated to the latest MAME64 and updated my ROMs as well. I tested out the update in hyperspin and everything was working as it should. I then enabled the new port audio option (see below) in the .ini file and everything seemed to work great until i left a game. Once i exited the game back to hyperspin, hyperspin would not have any sound and the snap videos would only play a few seconds and freeze. I could switch games and select new games, but there wouldn't be any sound in hyperspin until i restarted hyperspin. So then i deleted my .ini file to see if it would work again, and it worked great. So it seems like enableing port audio is causing some issue…

I have watch too many videos and messed around too much without asking for help. Can't get away from this issue. Fyi. Using 360 controller Boots up fine Can select games on 5 different emulators When Exiting game with the centre button goes back to that systems games menu and I can choose another game for that systems. If I press back again and go to the main system select menu my controller stops working until I press ESC twice on the actual keyboard to bring up the exit menu. Firstly let me thankyou all for such a great resource and after many hours reading I finally have a set-up that I can be proud of and all down to you guys. I have a small question regarding the configuration of the emulators game database. When I configure the systems through Rlauncher it asks for a rom directory and then I set it to make a database based upon this. However I have since aquired additional ROMS but they are not showing up. I can get them to show by deleting the system in RLauncher and then recreating it. My question is, is there a way to force a refresh / renew of the database without the deletion/addition? Appreciate any help you could give.
