Not sure if this is where to ask but I find it hard to see all the wheel art when you are scrolling through on my default setup. I thought it would be nice to fade the previous and next wheels and leave the one idicated by the pointer full opacity. Can this be done ?

Figured I'd start a new thread with just the download it in, so it's easy to find and with the proper HyperMamu title Credits go to Evildindon for creating this great theme and wheels for MAME, and zorg2000k for helping to jump start me when I burned out around letter M. Over the span of a little over ayear,...yes a YEAR, the set is finally complete and ready for download. I did Widescreen and square ratio screen versions of it all, as well as a set split up for people who have the Arcade Classics manufacturers. Everything should be included with settings for the text display to put in the hyperspin settings folder, the databases for the Arcade manufacturer system…

Hi Sorry in advance for a long post Im currently going trough my Main Menu Themes and Default System Themes collection, Ive found nearly 1500 themes on my hardrives already and more to be added soon,(1087 Main Menu Themes and 380 System Themes) but some are duplicates ive already scanned for duplicates and deleted but some still skip trough as sometimes only the theme.xml is different or there is a subfolder with the media in the zip file so still need to check those out. Im renaming the zip files so i can know what themes i have already cause many times old themes are uploaded to HS but have the authors name and date in the description or the filename. Ive onl…

Hi Guys, I've been busy with updating my setup and adding new Wheel borders to match the themes. This means I also have redone some themes, so it's a work in progress. I'm halfway my to-do list, so I'm stil busy for a while. I've added two examples of themes (and defaults) i've made matching the wheels. I will be posting my work in progress here, so stay tuned PS my focus is on the Wheels, so I will be using themes that others made (and try to credit them, because I dont always know who made what ) The theme, default and wheels I made for the NEC PC-Engine and NEC PC-Engine CD:

Hi, I have a entry in my mainmenu.xml but i want to use more info in my theme by adding more information into the XML. Old line: <game name="Atari Classics"/> New line: <game name="Atari Classics"> <description>Atari Classics</description> <manufacturer>Atari Inc.</manufacturer> <year>1972</year> </game> This way i can show more info about a system instead of using png/swf files. Is this possible to use the main menu xml the same way as in a system wheel XML? It seems it is not working the same way.

I've been a member here for quite some time, but never really was a part of the community. Thanks to all the content and useful info here, my build has gotten to the point where I'm very happy with it! So now, I thought I would give back by putting up some graphics I made along the way. For now, here's this: I created some buttons for people who use the Xbox 360 Controller with Hyperspin. However, if anyone wanted to make any alterations to what I have done - I've included the editable files and all the assets you would need to do that. The HyperHQ settings I've used are included as well. Download: http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/files/file/11148-special-art-syst…

This tutorial covers how to deal with slightly more complex backgrounds and screenwide artwork. Download link for the 16:9 Atari Classics themes is in the description along with my conversion notes, wherever a theme needed more than basic attention. Again, I try to keep it extremely concise and I avoid revisiting the minutia that I've covered in previous conversion tutorials, so if anything is unclear just leave me a comment in the video and I'll get back to you asap or elaborate in another video.

Hi everybody! I added a separate setup for Japanese Saturn, I believe that in USA and Europe most people didn't even know that Sega Saturn Existed, most believes that the 5th generation consoles were Ps1 and N64, while in Japan, Saturn was a great success, and that's why Japanese games for Saturn are trully hidden Gems. Iggy helped a lot creating lots of Japanese wheels last year, that was a great work I recognize it, and I want to go beyond that, our friend Justice999 has lots of skills with databases and he created a clean redump database with manufacturer info, year, etc. So, recently I started to collect artwork from the amazing Segaretro website for Sega …

Hi all, Is there a way of editing the default theme xmls to display vertical videos without stretching them? I am currently using the Arcade Classics default theme set from the download section (Atari, Capcom etc) but they are all stretching vertical videos/images. Cheers, J.

Hello All! This is a sister thread to the Bezel Art (http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/forum/showthread.php?32580-New-Bezel-Art-Location-And-Approval) thread. I thought here would be a good place to post new Fade artwork! The following has been taken from this post: http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/forum/showthread.php?32580-New-Bezel-Art-Location-And-Approval&p=335075&viewfull=1#post335075 Ok, so I guess we shall use the same example as for the bezels in respect to naming. Unless someone has an objection. Here is an explanation of the layers: So the naming convention will be (except Layer 4): "Layer {Layer #} -[ {Aspect Ratio}][{ Unique Description}] ({User}).png…

I have been doing graphics, web design, etc for quite some time, but something is COMPLETELY throwing me off in Hyperspin. Normally, X, Y positioning is done from the top left corner therefore if I want an item it the top left corner I would use 0, 0 but in HyperSpin this seems to not be the case. To get my item in the corner I had to put x=512 y=385...I cannot figure out the math here... My only assumption is maybe something to do with the fact that my skin is 1080p so and my image is 1920x1080 so it's getting lost in translation there? Or does HyperSpin not work the normal 0, 0? (Well after posting and messing in HyperTheme I noticed that stuff is posit…

Not sure this is the right forum but i didn't exactly want to post this in the HS request section. To make a long story short, i made a mini bartop for the kids across the street from me. It all set except for the marquee. Can't seem to find any good logos and font to make something presentable. I was hoping either someone could whip up a quick marquee sort of like the image i attached except in landscape or point me in the direction of some high res arcade logos i could use for something like this? I found some game logos on deviantart but they are too low res to be printed nicely, even if i fade them into a black background. As for the logo, i was hoping to make…

Hi, I'm working on a new vesion of the Chicuelo theme which needs to work on low end machine like Atom processors. So far so good i'm getting there. I have made a new Main default theme & a new System default theme. Every single wheel item is now framed using the original Chicuelo framed wheel art box as a template. I'm NOT using boxes/cartridge/tape/disk artwork or game themes in this version only wheel art and Artwork 1 on the top of the screen (a kind of Marquee which is the scaled unframed wheel art). I have 52 systems ready now with this theme :-) Next i want to add a png of each system/console to the theme to make it more clear which wheel you are…
