So MANY years ago, I created a custom arcade.mp3 file to play when I loaded my GameEx frontend. I used soooo many samples and sources to mix it that I couldn't possibly give name credit now. If anyone feels up to editing a new HS opening video montage, I'm including my 4 minute mix here. You may use it for any custom theme, as your own background sound, ringtone, GameEx theme or however you see fit. Hope someone likes my many year old nerd project. My only request is that you send me a copy of anything cool you do with it... ESPECIALLY if you edit a cool video to it for HyperSpin. Thanks! arcade.mp3

Hey everyone, As you are all well aware, each video snap always starts from the beginning of the video. While this makes sense, it gets REALLY old. How many times have you scrolled to NES to see that same 3-seconds of Super Mario Bros 3? So what I'm wondering is if there is something you can do to make the video snaps start at random points in the video. That way it would maybe keep the video/sounds of the system from becoming AS repetitive. Just a thought.

Just finished (after a few hours & thx to Ron!) getting my Daphne Singe/American Laser Games & ActionMax Games all working. Was looking around for some ActionMax Media(wheel art or Wheel logos). Look in a bunch of places, including 'American Laser Games' media but had no luck. I'm guessing there isn't any media out yet for the 5 ActionMax Games? ....btw, if there is none, np The games are: -Hydrosub2021 -Sonic Fury -The Rescue of PopsGhostly (PopsGhostly) -38Ambush Alley -Blue Thunder Just wondering if someone may have a link or any info on these. Hi All, Ive been setting up my vertical cabinet but wanted bezel artwork for mame games for both vertical and horizontal games. I found something that gave me a base to start with in Photoshop (VCabinet) , and changed this to my own personal needs. Ive created 242 mame artwork themes now and thought I would share them if anyone may be interested. Inside the .lay file there are points to two images one with my zorg logo and another to a clean image with no zorg logo.

Cant get my zips to work with HyperTheme Have to do loads of minor adjustments to existing themes for my android setup and its taking me fecking ages!! Keep forgetting my x & Y and up/down values Any ideas I have tried with windows compress to zip and 7z

Hi guys. I have an idea for fade screens for my cabinet for different systems and wondering what you guys think......as it is right now if someone came to play some games on hyperspin theyd have no idea what button does what. My idea is to take a pic of my CP and gimp it so there are different genres showing on the fade in(so thered be like 6-9 control panels in a grid) labelled per genre and buttons pointed out which ones are used per genre. Good plan?

hello all, i created a flash animation in adobe flash and exported it as an .swf. i set the framerate to 29,97fps in flash and the exported file plays at the right speed when it play i in flash player. but when i use the .swf file in hyperspin it gets sped up. my guess is that it plays at 60fps inside hyperspin and therefor the animation is way too fast. is there any way to solve that, so that my .swf is independent of hyperspins framerate and always plays at the speed (framerate) i set it to when creating the swf? thanks for reading. hope somebody can help me. cheers tim

I'm currently working on new vector style and realistic style GCE Vectrex cartridge art, I know people like one over the other, and need some help with the last label I need to do...Mine Storm (USA). I'm going for as close to 100% authentic as possible and I'm using USA style labels. I've noticed: USA labels have their own Vectrex logo, the GCE logo, squared corners and "Made in Hong Kong" text. Europe labels have their own Vectrex logo, MB logo, rounded corners and "Made in Ireland" / "Made in Rep. IRE." text. Hi guys, I wonder if someone could give me a few pointers on flash inclusion in themes please? I've tried various programs and formats but I can't seem to find a happy medium between programs and rendering of files.... I've tried setting at 120 fps, but notice that not all existing files in various themes do not run at that (24) I've tried compression/no compression Actionscript 3? https://youtu.be/WgFGYuPpvqE Any advice for a beginner please? Hi there. I just started to build my Hyperspin-RocketLauncher-RetroArch System and I'm currently setting up my NES wheel and art. I already have the box art for my roms but unfortunately they are very big pictures that don't rly fit in my default theme. By looking at the Default-Theme XML file i figured out that i can determine the position of the box via the x and y parameters. The r parameter obviously rotates the picture. But how do I scale it? I would like to reduce the size of the boxes by 25%. Is there a variable like s=0.75 that I'm missing? Thank you for any help. I'm kinda stuck here.

I was thinking about making some new artwork tutorials and thought...why not teach live through a video chat or group meeting instead? I know at least I would have liked that at many times...to just drop by and ask, how do I do this or can you show me how you would do that, would have been very helpful at times. I honestly don't have any idea how I would do this, I've done stuff like this on work many years ago but there where software in the company I worked for then. I know SimplyAustin did something like this at some point so it have to be possible. So what would I need? Is there any good software for this? I would basically just need to stream my screen and so…

To all the theme authors who are gracious enough to share with us their talent, time, and hard work in the form of the fantastic themes they create, I say thank you and please don't take this as criticism, just a suggestion. A lot of the existing MAME themes for Atari titles use the "Atari Games" logo, but I'm pretty sure that logo wasn't used until the coin-op division of Atari was split from their consumer electronics division in 1984 and became "Atari Games". I think games made before then had an Atari logo without the word "games" in it. Anyway, keep up the good work doing stuff I could never dream of doing!
