Gears of War: Arcade Edition Cabinet Hi there! I want to share with you guys my Project of Arcade Cabinet (at this time it's not in 100% done). Made from sketch to the finished project entirely by me. The project wouldn't exist if I hadn't seen CoinOPS Vision in action, who encouraged me to build arcade machine based on the Xbox and ofcourse CoinOPS Emulator. I think you like it! What to do: - mount stickers on bezel Feel free to leave comments in posts below. But first take a look on pictures from my project called XboxArcade Cabinet. Full gallery you can find at this link - https://goo.gl/photos/uEQdQ7GBigTjVCbh7

Hey guys, I want to build an exact replica of the cabinet mentioned in the title, but after few days of scouring the inter-webs I did't have much success in finding the information needed. If anyone could help or guide me to a right direction, I would really appreciate that.

Hey Guys, So we've all seen the custom arcade cabinets people make; and they are really cool. However, as cool as they are, being a 90s kid... Gaming happened, in my experience, on home consoles because arcades had basically vanished. So taking that custom arcade idea, and applying it to that for a game console instead I have created what I like to call Gam3B0x. It's about the size of an Xbox One, and universally accepts USB controllers. It runs Windows 10, and boots right into HyperSpin CPU: Intel i7 4790k GPU: AMD R9 390X 8Gb RAM: 16Gb DDR3 HDD: 1x 1Tb Internal, 1x 3TB External It plays nearly all games from the following systems: Atari Lynx Atari Jaguar Commo…

So I decided to start from the bottom, up and do a whole new build since my previous was lost. I added 8 buttons instead of 6 this time and was thinking the other day when I finished that I wasted my time because PlayStation, Playstation 2, etc have the extra axis stick, which I don't have on my panel. Not sure why I didn't think about it, but I'm pretty sure I wasted quite a bit of time because I had to build a whole new control panel. Any thoughts on this before I go into programming everything?

Eya. Recently I have a found a great Cab schematic (The Metopolis cab). but I want to make a few modifications to it. I want it to have a rotating monitor.. the way that Connersdad has one..so a flat panel monitor mounted on a lazy suzan and driven by an electro motor and controlled by a polulu board. all that set aside.. the width of cab by design is 24"... and I have the unfortune that my (touch)screen has a diagonal of 25,7". now down to the question at hand... from an esthetic point of view would it be prudent to enlarge the entire cab relative to the increased width..or just widen ? the person who designed the cab was nice enough to provide the DWG …

I'm going to be making a CP with 8 buttons, and i've always been curious how people enter them into MAME as far as button 1,2,3,4, etc. so that it lines up with what would generally be a default pattern used by most arcade games. Would it be top row is 1-4, and bottom row is 5-8? Or something else?

I've been pouring through forums and can't find anything recent on this topic. I've been trying to convert my NFS underground cabinet into mame / hyperspin. The problems I run into are steering and pedal related. Some have mentioned a single board to purchase that will house the interface from the cabinet to USB. I have a dual board setup. Does anyone have any knowledge on this setup/conversion? Thanks!

So I'm new to this all. I'm taking a Dell optiplex gx620 with pentium D 820 messing in SSD with hyperspin. Didn't have or found a 4:3 monitor, so I'm using a 19" widescreen 16:10ratio. I'm going to build the cab for a bigger monitor hoping I find one later. Any tips or help would be great

I'm on the final stretch of my cab and I need a t-molding with the barbs thicker than 1/16 in. I looked on the normal sites and they seem to be all 1/16 in. I heard people glueing it in but I don't want to go that route. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hello Spinners and Pinners, Wow what a hiatus for me. Sorry I haven't been around much lately. It's good to see people still making machines and sharing ideas. This website is still my favorite to get a pulse on custom arcade machine builds. I do still answer emails and contacts so please if you need anything let me know. Keep up the excellent work! VPcabs out of Ohio is going to be on Shark Tank next month. As you can imagine Brad Baker's 3 year journey to get to this point has been a long haul (literally). His annual visits to arcade shows throughout the country has been a lifeline to what Hyper Spin and Hyper Pin represent. Good old arcade fun in a new age cabinet…

So i've started my project over... I'm leaning towards a Bubble Bobble / Street Fighter theme, with perhaps a few other characters in there... initial proof of concept of the mock is here: Plan is to have one side be Bubble Bobble side art (or a combination of 'cuter' characters) and the other Street Fighter (or a combination of fighters) So... what do people think?! Thanks!

This Chip is kinda like a Raspberry pi , by watching the video's it can handle Android, Windows , and Linux!!, and if you watch the video it runs windows 10 very well. it is on Kickstarter, and looks like it will meet it's goal, imagine a small form factor able to run Hyperspin full speed. This project looks very interesting. check these links and see what you think!, I know im getting one!! http://betanews.com/2016/05/19/udoo-x86-10x-more-powerful-than-raspberry-pi-3/ https://youtu.be/qbSTUDkcJ1g

Hi there - I'm looking to connect 2 of these JLF joysticks to a controller board from Ultimarc, either an I-Pac or a Mini-Pac. I have no experience working with electrical, so I'm trying to figure out if there's a simple way to use the JLFs with either of these controllers. Would anybody have any tips for a wiring newbie? Complicating things for me, I think, is the 5-pin wiring harness that's built into the JLFs. If not for that, I think I'd be able to connect microswitches to either of those controllers easily. But with the 5-pin harness, I'm not sure what I'd need. Ultimarc told me I'd need to get an adaptor harness from the 5 pin joystick connector…

Getting ready to build my first machine. Going with a marvel vs capcom theme. There's not a lot out there in terms of cabinet art. Luckily there are a lot of high res images available. I'm no graphic designer, but I thought I'd give making my own cabinet art a try. Still a WIP, but I'm pretty happy with how it's turning out.

Finally after many months my project is coming along pretty well. I know there are things I could do differently, but its a learning experience, specially since I don't have any carpentry skills. At least I have computer skills and the drive to finish my project. Unfortunately, family and 2 jobs have made this a slow process. Luckely this forum and SimpleAustin videos have helped me tremendously. Something I learned the hard way, if RetroArch crashes on startup, make sure your video card drivers are updated to the latest drivers such ATI AMD . Below is the list of items I have or used on my cabinet 32" Samsung TV Dell OptiPlex 7020 i5, 8GB Ram, 1TB HD, 4TB HD for Roms, …

Is this custom controller a good deal? A local seller (2 hours drive each way) is selling it for $150.00 cash plus he said he would throw in a 1TB hard drive full of his arcade ROMS (he did not say what the configuration was for this hard drive so I assume the ROM files are just in their own folders???) Here are the specifications for this controller for sale: 1. He brought it as a "kit" from a California based arcade build company that sends you the pre-drilled controller and you just have to buy your own buttons, joystick and track ball. I forget the name of it. 2. He put it together and he said that it cost him $500 in hardware parts not including the…

Howdy again I'm wondering about smart power strips. Currently I have a power strip with everything plugged in. Therefore this required me to open the cabinet and press the power button on my computer. Note that the power strip is also connected to a power supple so in order to turn on the monitor as well I have to flip the power supple switch to on first to get the monitor on, then to push the computer on. I'm looking into a way to turn on everything with one press. I have a empty casing in the top right corner of the cabinet where I could add a button to turn the computer on but I have no idea how to install that button and connect it to my computers power button. The…
