Don't know the purpose of the Backgrounds folder as I've placed a few properly named images in there and they don't display when I scroll over the games. I assume this folder is for background images so I don't have to create thousands of themes to change the backgrounds but I've never used it before. Sorry if this has been asked before but all the Google links are broken. Guess I should also mention that I'm using the HS beta if that changes anything. For reference, this is the backgrounds folder I'm referring to: C:\HyperSpin\Media\Nintendo Entertainment System\Images\Backgrounds

My cabinet runs Windows 7 with a HyperSpin shell (via Instant Sheller). I've wired my motherboard's power switch to a button outside my cabinet, and there are two ways that I can shut down my system: Method #1: Quit HyperSpin When I quit HyperSpin, I run a batch file that waits a few seconds and then sends a shutdown command to Windows. I added the delay because HyperSpin doesn't always close right away, which results in a message about how HyperSpin needs to close before Windows can shut down. Method #2: Hit the power switch Windows shuts down when the power button is pressed. However, 50% of the time, I get the message about how HyperSpin still needs…

I figured out how to add games to the favorites list for each emulator on my wheel. Is there any way to set the favorites list as the default when hyperspin starts up? It takes a long time to scroll through emulators with a large roms list, especially the 5000+ on Mame. Thanks.

I realize this is going to be a highly subjective question, but I'm buttoning up for my primary/final build and I've come to the Colecovision. I'm trying to maintain somewhat of a degree of historical accuracy without sacrificing quality or unneeded annoyances. That being said. What is everyone else using for controller support for these types of systems where the original controller contains a numberpad? ....up to this point, I've been using an SNES--->Usb controller which has been working fairly well in most cases, I also have a sega--->USB, Gamecube--->usb, N64---> USB, PS3--->USB and some others that i don't recall off the top of my head. I have the newest Mednafen version setup with RocketLauncher and it launches correctly, the bezels are shown and all seems right. But it takes about 8 seconds from when the emulator is loaded to display it with the Bezels. So I can already hear the game sounds while the fade in screen is still showing. According to the RocketLauncher logs it tries to get the Window in the correct position multiple times and fails. But when I can finally see it, everything seems right. Attached is the log. Has anyone an idea how I could prevent this?

Hi all Followed the guides (very useful) but must have gone wrong somewhere. Hyperspin and rocketlaumcher are workin but when I go into a mame game I get No default Emulator found in c:\rocketlauncher\settings\mame\emulators.ini but I dont have a emulators.ini in that location in fact I dont have a mame folder, I also getthe same when trying atari 2600 games. Can anyone help?

This happens with Fade in and out too, it will show me random ones. I made sure I put the folders with their respective names in the RocketLauncherUI and not in HyperSpin. This problem only happens with this system and not any other.

Hi, Can't seem to install this drive SPTD1.84 for Daemon Tools on Windows 10 All ok on Windows 7 but nothing i try works. Tried uninstalling everything and re-installing, tried updated SPTD 2.11 , but they won't install Is there a particular version of Daemon Tools that works on Windows 10 with SCSI drive that works ? Any ideas ? Thanks

Hi all, So hyperspin loads up, and then I go to my PC Games wheel, select a game, and it loads fine. Takes a few seconds whilst Steam thinks about it, but loads fine. However, a few seconds after it's loaded fine, I get the module error screen from HyperSpin (ahk pid 9220 error), which takes focus away from my Steam game! ARRRGGGH! I use the keyboard to switch back to the PC Game, and when it exits it returns to HyperSpin no problem to select another game. So, it's kind of a false error - the games DO load and exit fine, but HyperSpin is insisting that it isn't! Can I just remove the PC Launcher.ahk module from RL without issue? I've spent several hours on this but making no headway. I have MAME 0.215 installed. I downloaded shaders from here: https://github.com/libretro/glsl-shaders/tree/master/crt/shaders I put them in a folder called 'glsl' inside my main MAME folder. GLSL is activated in my mame.ini as per instructions here: https://docs.mamedev.org/advanced/glsl.html BUT, everytime I try to specify a path MAME won't boot up and just hangs. If I specify 'none' for the shader it loads, and there's SOME kind of smoothing applied, but I can't seem to access any settings in the MAME menu using the tilde key. I would like to have a bezel on my track and field MAME rom. I downloaded the track and field bezel zip file and placed it in my "C:\HyperSpin\Media\MAME\Bezels" folder. How can I now have the rom load with this bezel zip file?

So I finally got setup with the kind help of Gigapig here, but there is one thing that I can't for the life of me figure out. I'm only using 2 emulators (MAME + AAE) in a cocktail cab and what I'd like to do is: Edit the Main wheel so instead of the huge list of emulators, it has custom categories. ie. 2 Player CoOp Games, Spinner Games, etc. BUT I'd like these categories to cover both MAME and AAE - so 'Spinner Games' might have Tempest (running on AAE) and also have Arkanoid (running on MAME). IS this possible? Thanks guys!

I've got Mame 210 no nag working fine when I start it from a folder. I have BGFX and crt-geom selected as a graphics filter. However, when I start it from HyperSpin, it totally ignores this mame.ini and runs games with no graphics filters at all. I've deleted all other .ini files in the directory, and deleted the 'ini' folder since I won't be using any of those examples/sample files (I have a dedicated vertical cabinet so it's just vertical games). I delved into the mame.ahk, but couldn't find any clues - just the usual about hierarchy of .ini files, which is why I cleared them all out so there's only one default (plus individual ones after a game has run)…

So, after much fiddling around, I just got HLSL effects enabled in RocketLauncher for MAME. Trouble is, when I do have them enabled EVERY game goes very slow and grinds to a halt (test game is espgaluda). So I have a dedicated vertical cab with an 19" Dell LCD monitor (it's a Vigolix inspired build) which has this PC in it: AMDFX6300 8GB memory NVidia Quadro FX 580 Graphics card. Now, the graphics card is old because it's pulled from another machine. Is it the graphics card that's limiting me or something else I've missed? Should I look at GLSL instead? Hi All, I have setup Teknoparrot in Hyperspin/RocketLauncher and all games load fine. My problem is I have tried every permutation of exits possible using modules exit options and nothing seems to work. It is only an issue on games that need to exit Teknoparrot emulator itself that don't have their own exit button in the control options, example FR (Ford Racing) A simple press of the Esc key on the keyboard and they all exit fine. Does anyone know of a way to set these games to exit using xbox 360 controller ? Thanks in advance

Hi friends! I have an installation of Hyperspin with just MAME games ( no other systems, just MAME ), in the past this install was being use with an IPAC encoder. Hello, I am looking for a way to sort the list of xml games, e.g. Mame etc, in alphabetical order, unfortunately most xml lists are not alphabetized, which makes Hs Wheels a light mess ?? Unfortunately in Hs alone I didn't find the option to show the list by alphabet or I'm blind

I finished my arcade cab several years ago. At one point I know i used a xbox 360 controller for at least hyperspin and the pc games. One of my kids needed the controller so i didnt use it with the cabinet for a couple years. I just recently seen the news on this turbo grafx mini coming out in march 2020 and it made me want to play some of these old console games but want to use a controller. I just went through my hyperspin cab and got it all cleaned out and fixed a few buttons/wiring issues and got it back in shape to play.
