Tried numerous times to get MS-Dos to work with Dosbox, Rocketlauncher, HyperSpin without success. Read module notes implemented a few thing which failed re-read the notes until my head exploded. I then said bugger it and deleted the 376 gb of games I downloaded. I desperately need a guide to set this bloody system up and running, so is anyone up for the task Would be extremely grateful

What's the situation with hyperspin now. I noticed the facebook page was getting updated regularly but it's been quite since September. I'm just curious really. Is bad boy bill now off the scene, can we expect any updates in the future. I'd love to donate or help out I use it daily and would hate to see it slowly be over taken by something else. Are there any plans in place to move it forward?

Bit of a daft question but I couln't work out how to do this; how do I find out how many games are on a wheel in HS? I thought that maybe by looking at the xml I could do it, though each game has a number of lines in the XML file and so I can't see any easy way to count them.

Hyperspin is working great. I can open the game up in MAME and i go to sliders and then change the horizontal stretch to .0932. I would like that setting to be applied to all games. I hear that maybe horizont.ini could help but not sure what to include in it for mame to apply it all around. any suggestions on what to include in that ini?

hi need some advice can some one list the hard drive size for some off the hyperspin builds. iv downloaded the 2tb front end and being a muppet got a 2tb hard drive thinking it would fit .. it doesnt so what do i need guys

First off, the work that has been done on the unified bezel packs is outstanding! So thank you for all involved with that. I do have a question about editing them though. When I load them up, I always see the monitor bezel along with the background. Is it possible to only show the background artwork and not show that plastic/gray looking monitor part? Just be more descriptive, when I look in the folder structure in C:\RocketLauncher\Media\Bezels\MAME\btime, I see background png files that look to be artwork to fill the space on the sides of a 16:9 display. Then I see files called Bezel - Vertical.png, which look like a plastic frame, and those are the ones I don't c…

Wondering if there is a way to display the # of games in Hyperspin? Ideally when I, for instance, select say NeoGeo from the main menu and go into the NeoGeo wheel, either Hyperspin would display the total number of games on that wheel or even better display somethink like "Game X of Y." If not, is this coming in 2.0? Tried to do a forum search for this but the terms are just to generic. Thanks! PiperCalls

UPDATED: 1/18/16 1.Overhauled. Fixed black levels/color. Updated pics to show new version. 2. Bit more fine tuning. These settings were built by comparing my HyperSpin cabinet directly, side-by-side, with my real arcade machines. For direct comparison I used my Mario Bros machine and my Neo-Geo running Samurai Shodown 5 Special, Nightmare in the dark, Metal Slug and Twinkle Star Sprites. I tried to match these settings to look close to the real machines, but with a bit more ideal color and sharpness. These were set with Contrast, Brightness & Gamma at 1.00. When I load up a theme to edit it in Hypertheme, it won't show the associated video anywhere, even when I "play" the theme. I have set the default video directory in the settings. Am I missing anything here? Edit: even worse, I edited a theme in HyperTheme to move an image, and saved it - and when I run the theme in HyperSpin the video isn't on the theme anymore!!

I'm new to using Hyperspin and followed the directions on the "How To Install HyperSpin" link. I changed the default settings to have everything installed on the D: drive. I only got to installing the MAME emulator but cannot get it to work. When I tried to test the rom via HyperLaunch, it does nothing. I hope this isn't the wrong place to post this, if it is, i'm apologizing in advance. When I setup my mame cabinet a month or so ago, I downloaded all the unified bezel packs on emumovies. I quickly realized these wouldn't work well because my monitor is a 16:10 and the bezels from the pack were getting cut-off due to me having the wrong screen size. I then stumbled upon the MR Do site with all the MAME artwork/Instruction cards. After trying a couple of those out, I realized that was a better option for me as it wasn't specifically built for a 16:9 monitor, and seemed to resize the game screen as I turned on/off the bezels and instruction cards. Two quick questions I can run Sega model 2 emulator from rocketlauncher just fine. However it fails to load in Hyperspin everything is setup in hyperhq and using hyperlaunch. Hi, My current Hyperspin setup is acting weird. So i will try to do a fresh install while keeping all the old emulators and themes/videos. Where can i find the latest tutorial to set up Hyperspin with Rocketlauncher? I see some in the forum but i am not sure if they are updated to the latest version. The pinned "How to install HyperSpin" forum entry states it will be updated but refers to hyperspin 1.4.15 instead of 1.4.16 (latest version i think). Does someone know if it is possible to use Hyperspin without RocketLauncher or any other launcher? I only need Hyperspin to start the emulator and to exit the emulator with the chosen escape key. Lately I've been messing around with Sega Saturn Japanese games, database, videos, etc, there are so many Saturn titles (which I like more than US-EU), and as we have separated JAP x US+EU XML, I decided to separate them. For now I'll create a wheel in my HS exclusively for Saturn Japanese games (I added as "Sega Saturn (Japan)", just like do with SNES and Nintendo Super Famicom, each one with its exclusives japanese, it is not a final decision but, maybe I'll leave this way. I had everything working good (I only use Mame, and Stella as my emulators) but after a recent upgrade of Rocket launcher (Initiated by the program itself) The Atari 2600 and NES games do not work. Mame works fine still but with the others it goes to the loading screen and gives verbal loading complete and then just sits there on the loading screen. The only way out is to force crtl alt delete quit. The log looks good and shows Main - Running module but that is where it stops. Any suggestions, I hate to have to start all over. Dammes

Anyone buy Injustice 2 for PC yet that can speak towards how the player controls are layed out? And is two player controlls with one keyboard possible - a la IPAC friendly? If not, any work arounds created using vjoy/ahk or anything else? I may buy it tonight and see what's up...

So I find myself constantly bumping my Exit key when playing Golden Tee, not fun. I'm looking for a way to add an exit prompt to that game. I'm running Mameuifx and did find a check box option under Miscellaneous for 'Quit confirmation on exit' which is exactly what I want. I press Exit and a prompt comes up: Are you sure you want to quit? Press "Enter" to quit, Press "Escape" to return to emulation But it only works when launching games from the Mameuifx interface. It will not prompt me when I exit a game from Rocketlauncher or Hyperspin. Any ideas on how to make this work from Hyperspin or perhaps another option? Thanks

1. If I have this right. XML files helps you identify your games and your roms are the actual game. Roms come in all sorts of files such as gba, gcs, snes, etc. 2. A rom renaming software will give a clear pathway for hyperlauncher to access your rom database. 3. My actual problem is when I attempt to "audit" my games, the roms can't be found. So if I have the right file type in the folder, and I have all the pathways set up right, where am I going wrong? Did I fuck up in the rom renaming? I have been trying to set this up for half a week, please help

hi folks, i'm pretty sure my question has an aswer somewhere around here, but my bad english didn't help me to find it i want to add an item in the 1st-level wheel which will launch an exe (such as hypersearch for exemple) this exe will only be a pdf file, or even a jpeg, to show users which button ar for the pause/genre/favorite/coins... etc of course some already did it huh?

Hey all, My searches came up null, so pardon my stupid questions... 1) I do not yet have my cab built, but I have been tinkering with Hyperspin for quite a while on my personal PC. Question being, are Hyperspin installs able to be dragged over to a new hard drive without any hiccups? Maybe drive letters would have to be re-configured, but other than that...? 2) I'd like to have a folder full of console start-up videos load BEFORE the Hyperspin intro video.
