Hi all, new here, I'm planning out my build. I think I found the right forum for this now. I have a standard Williams widebody cabinet, the inside width is 23.25", I cannot find a 46" TV that will fit this correctly without slotting. I have seen other builds that claim to use mameman's widebody plans and seem to fit a 46" TV without slotting. I looked at his plans, the inside dimensions of those plans is 594mm, which is roughly 23.25". Is there a 46" TV model that I am overlooking here? Any help would be appreciated.

Finally starting my build thread, big thanks to everyone who's done one, learned a ton from reading them! I'm powering the cab with: XP SP3 Intel i5 3.2 GHz EVGA GeForce GTX 560 Superclocked 2048 4 gigs of RAM, SSD ASRock Z68 motherboard Nothing insanely beastly, but should be plenty of power. --- For the screens: Playing field - Samsung UN46D6300 46-Inch 1080p edge-lit LED TV. Nice and thin for the routed slot technique. Backglass - LG 32" 1080p TV, nothing special, even decased has a bit of a bezel, but I'll try and minimize that. DMD - Yellow/Green Xpin LED DMD, powered by a pinDMD by the one and only Russ. Note that if you want to use an XPin DMD you need…

My cab build has now reached a point where I want to start wiring up the LEDs, contactors, general whizz bang & flashes & this area is my downfall. Is their anyone nearish Brighton, UK who'd be prepared to come over for a day & help me wire up? We can chat before hand & I can make sure I have in all the required components. I would of course pay a £ & travel costs. If you can help please PM me with your mobile. Cheers :-)

Has anyone used any of the newer Samsung 46" monitors for the play field without any issues? I was hoping to grab a un46d6000 since that is the defacto standard for the wide body builds but they are impossible to find unless you want to pay over $1000. Z

VPcabs has been invited by Zen Studios to display their new Marvel and Star Wars PFX2 tables at this years Comic Con in San Diego. We will be featured in the Microsoft Xbox Lounge. This is a great honor for us and brings a real Virtual Pinball cabinet to over 100,000 people. The folks at Zen are working hard to try and get DMD and backglass support for us by the show!!! I got a chance to play the new Star Wars tables today and all I can say is WOW!!!! They are amazing to say the least. If you are going to the show please stop by and say hi. I'll be sure to keep this thread updated with pics and info during the show.

I just noticed something and I'm not sure if it's my setup or FP. None of my FP tables work with my LEDWIZ???? For example, the NEW Apollo 13 has an ledwiz version which I'm running, but none of the feedback (cree leds, wiper, shaker, etc) are working. I am going through a Zebs booster board and everything works in VP. There are even some LEDwiz files that come with Apollo in the FP tables directory. Z

I've been wanting to build a Dr. Who themed Hyperpin cabinet for some time now, but I don't have the room in my apartment. I'm in the process of looking for a house and when I find one, I'll have room to start building one. Until then, I figured I would at least start acquiring some of the parts piece by piece. I happened to run across an opened box warehouse deal on a Samsung UN46D6000 46-Inch 1080p 120 Hz LED HDTV [LINK] for $454.60 and couldn't pass it up. After the screen showed up, I set it up in my spare bedroom and attempted to install HyperPin and Virtual Pinball on a spare duel core laptop I had laying around. It has 3 GBS of ram and a 256 MB ATI video card. …

Hi All Like everyone else I have been inspired by the greats of this community Chris, Maxx, DeeGor and many others. My project started over 12mths ago with the purchase of the screens and toys. Unfortunately, life (marriage and long honeymoon) got in the way . The plan is to build a Williams Widebody clone with all the bells and whistles. The theme is still WIP. Ideas change so rapidly around here that my plan for wiring and screens has changed. The delay of 12 months has seen the creation of LEDwiz booster and then revised booster boards. In addition to this pinDMD and then pinDMD2 were developed to bring us real DMDs. With both these significant changes all my pl…

I picked up a widebody sheet of glass at the Allentown meet a few months back and never used it because I needed it to be slightly larger for my cab. This is your stock widebody tempered glass 43" x 23 3/4" x 3/16" still in the paper from the pinfest. I'm not going to build another cab and I figure someone here can put it to good use. Free if you're willing to pick it up in the Somerville, NJ area. (or if you feel bad about it being free you can always throw some tables on a CD for me ) Z

I live in the Netherlands, and this dude http://link.marktplaats.nl/672811463 is selling a Hyperpin branded cabinet WITH roms and tables. He also sells bartops with complete hyperspin setups including roms, and to top it off he is apparantly selling separate HDD's with complete hyperspin setups with roms/previews and all. Stupid, illegal and endangering this hobby. I personally think he should go to jail, What do you think?

My first cab had a flush mount screen where the the playfield was near the glass, not sunken like the new designs. My friend would now like to add a 5 flasher bar to this cab. Its difficult to recess the playfield as everything fits nice now and the flipper buttons would hit. Any recommendations to add a flasher bar to this design would be grateful. Here is a pic of the first 2 cabs I put together, perhaps the other owner would be interested too in adding a flasher bar if its possible. I LOVE the flashers, so we have to come up with something Here is a pic, where can they go?

Well pretty far along with my cab and hit my first major issue.....the play field is rotated 180 degrees. Now here are the issues: 1) If I use the nvidia software to do landscape (flipped) instead of landscape it works great in VP 9.15(see #2) 2) Using landscape (flipped) creates pixel trails under the ball in FP and turning off reflections does not solve it. 3) The Samsung TV is cut different on the top and bottom so I made the slot to account for this, rotating the TV would work but would require cutting up the cab. Any other suggestions??? Any options in 9.16 to rotate?? Z

I started with a fairly nice LAH cab, complete with most trimmings. I also have a Jurassic Park gun assembly, painted grey, with a yellow "smart missile" button. It is great for virtual pinball, as i now have lightable button, and a trigger. It is also very very sturdy. I kept the front of the cab completely original, needed extra buttons (like E) are placed on the bottom of the cab. Looks nice, and works great. The magnasave buttons are positioned directly below the flipper buttons, because of the button guard. This works OK, but is not ideal for smaller hands. Hardware: PhenomII 255@ 4 cores, 3.5 ghz Nvidia GT460 1gb pindmd2 ipac2 ledwiz for rom controlled RGB fl…

Have a new Vishay dmd for sale that has only been turned on twice, once when I first got it make sure there were no dead pixels and my pindmd worked, and once to shoot the video down below. This is the segmented version. I am collecting parts for a cab build and have decided to go a different direction as far as dmd's go. So first come first serve, $250 shipped takes it, US only. If you have any question feel free to ask. Thanks! http://s3.photobucket.com/user/DuffBeerMan/media/MVI_0524.mp4.html
