Now finished https://www.flickr.com/gp/157602613@N02/ZXzHdC This started out as a mini version of a popular nugen sit Down cab I spotted. But to be honest it's gone a different direction. So far all I've done is cut out a rough hard board shape to see what she'll look like...I'd say it's more of a coffee table top rather than a bartop machine.. This is what I have so far.. The back curved piece will be kerfed mdf or maybe even glass to see inside. 26 inch wide screen full atx geforce 780ti from my previous gaming pc.. Ignore the colours..just messing about What do you all think..shall I bother!! …

It's been a while since I built/modified an Arcade cabinet and was wondering what people use nowadays to interface their PC to the Cabinet? The last cabinet I modified was a Virtua Fighter cabinet wired for JAMMA and I used the Ultimarc J-Pak interface to attach to my PC for Mame etc. I also added various consoles such as the Saturn with - http://pc2jamma.mameworld.info/arc_sat4.html. I also played PC light gun games such as house of the dead. I had a 24inch CRT in that cabinet though. I'm going to use a LCD or LED this time. I was going to build a cocktail cabinet this time, but I started to remember the games I used to play such as Chase HQ, Time Cri…

Hey Gang, What companies would you recommend to purchase a Pedestal Arcade? As time has marched on and with 4 kids, a few full time job, and family company, there has been no time to do this myself. I have seen machines from Extreme Home Arcades, and they look amazing. Does anyone have an opinion of this company and their products? Or does anyone have any experience with any other Pedestal Arcade makers? Thanks for your help!

Hello everyone I’m just about done with all the software now I’m getting ready to work on my cabinet. And I began to think about all of you out there and I began to wonder, how much maintenance do you have to perform on your cabinet and the PC and the software to make sure everything is running ok? And I have sat here and designed the Hyperspin lay out For 17 systems and I have to ask myself what I have configured is it stable? Is it normal errors might crop up from time to time? Basically I’m wondering what I have configured is it a stable build how can I check and be certain? Once you have finished your cabinet do you constantly add more systems or for yo…

I would like to start by thanking the entire community for all the infomation I have gathered about this project over the past month. the wealth of information available here is phenominal. thank you all. right, on to business.. this is my first post, so bear with me if I ramble a bit.. After looking at some fo the fantastic projects showcased here I thought it was time to build my own system. I have been dabbling with mame since 0.32b, but never really progressed further than just playing them on my pc. I don't have space for a full size machine, so when I saw some of the bartops here I thought it was about time to start my own project. I purchased the kit that quite …

Hi everyone! I am using a SEGA Naomi Cabinet with a PC and Hyperspin). I am using the original CRT Screen of the Naomi (640x480). It is plugged to my Graphiccard with the Analog Cable. Works finde. My Graphiccard also has 2 HDMI Outputs. I wanted to use one of them to plug in a ELGATO HD 60 S to stream live from my Arcade Cabinet. The Problem is, as soon as I plugin the HDMI Cable, the resolution jumps to 1920x1080 and I cant change it. I also cant use the CRT as a second desktop. Anyone an idea how to use the CRT as "normal" Screen and just double the signal to the HDMI Output? Thanks!

My cabinet is built, graphics done and hyperspin loaded with games, but I'm having a hard time getting my controls configured? I've watched several videos on setting up rocket laucher, hyperlauch and joy to key, but the only thing I can do is use my joysticks to go through wheels. I'm using a xinmo encoder with the same setup that Ryan from Gameroom solutions uses on this two palyer kits. I have two player joysticks, six buttons for a actions, selet and start for each player as well as exit, mode, menu and play(mode or menu can be used for pause). Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hello! I am finishing up my first "bartop" cabinet build and want to finish up the marquee with something nice. I have a piece of 4.5" x 22" plexiglass that will be my marquee but and looking for some graphics. I am leaning on utilizing the HyperSpin logo to finish it off (I am not looking to be very creative on naming this cabinet). Are there ready-made HyperSpin logo marquees available to download? Thanks!

Hi Hyperspin community, I've been a Hyperspin member for a while now and this will be my first post. I spent the past couple of days writing my project down from start to almost finished.. I have yet to write down the section about software/configurations/tips/tweaks, hoping I can provide that in an update shortly. Just wanted to say a special thanks to my friends that helped me with this project as well as the others in this awesome community that didn't know it, but your questions & answers helped me get through it all.. Sorry it's pretty lengthy.. Machine name : Pac-Cade Started on the build 11/2017 Finished (well …

So this is a little bit of everything. Its a full cabinet restore of a 2nd or 3rd generation Capcom Big Blue. It came with a Namco System 246 with Tekken 4 but the cab was kind of beat up and needed allot of work. I originally wanted to get a CPS2 multi and put it in there but my wallet screamed NOOOOOOOOOO. So I took an old PC and built out a HyperSpin set up of nothing but Capcom games. I am still tweaking with some of the set up but you get the just of what I am trying to accomplish. I plan on getting a bezel made and getting some die-cut Capcom decals for the sides. I do have a back door with a lock in it but I removed it for the pictures. It actually uses t…

Hopefully I'm posting this in the right thread. I purchased a 2 player flatpack bartop arcade cabinet on ebay from Rich's Bartop ( Image below ) I got this over a year ago and I'm only getting around to finally finishing it off I asked Rich if he had a blank template/psd for the artwork, he said he didn't, but someone had uploaded a template to this forum. I've been searching through all the posts but cant seem to find the template, would anyone happen to have the template or could they possibly point me in the right direction? Any help would be much appreciated. Cheers!

Hello, I installed 2 coin selectors one for 20 €ct one for 50 €ct. I want to give 1 credit for 20ct and 3 credits for 50ct. How can I set HS or at least Arcade Classics up to take coins in both selectors with different credits? Credits should count for player one and two. But we can limit us to one player mode too. I just use the coin selectors when we have a party. Players then pay per play. We agree on two games to be played and the persons with the highes scores get half the income as a prize. It is fun and the kids try to beat each others highscore.

Hi everyone! Long time no Steve! With the help of Vincent Salazar at arcade86 I was able to make an arcade dream of mine realized. I wanted an arcade that spoke to a higher degree of class and style. Something that would mesh vintage/antiquelove with my gamer nerd inner self. Here is my cabinet, Antique Arcade: The marquee isn't done yet. I'm kinda averse to text and LED. I'm thinking stained glass in Amber tones. Any ideas where to find something like that? Here's some pics: https://m.imgur.com/a/aBCgpKA Much love, Steve

I've had a spotty relationship with WD. my current drive is WD and has been great...but a while back I bought another WD drive and it lasted for a month or 2 :/ Any suggestions/help would be awesome. Also My OS SSD drive is getting close to being at max cap. it's a 230Gb SSD....any suggestions on a good SSD also would be awesome My mobo supports those M.2 socket type 2242/…

Once upon a time, my father and I bought a multicade for his den. It was the 60 in 1 built into a Pac-Mania arcade. The guy selling it also offered us an empty cabinet he had laying around for a significant discount and we took at as well The empty cab has been sitting in our garage for years, and now that we're cleaning it out we've decided to inject some life into it and finally fix it up, What we have is an old Nintendo Unisystem (Not my actual unit, but a picture to show what I'm working with as I'm not within reach of mine at the time of this post) Our particular one has a VERY faded Mario Bros. marquee and a Donkey Kong screen overlay, as well as th…

I have a bartop arcade running hyperspin and I’ve had a lot of problems with it. I’m not super well versed in the software and hardware side of things, I just like to play games. i was wondering if there’s any one located in Jacksonville or Orlando willing to do some TLC to this thing; obviously I’m willing to pay for time and expertise. thanks!
