Can anyone tell me what the (Alt) versions are for the MSX rom set/database? Seems like every game as a few alternative versions. For example Akanoid (Japan)(Atl 1), Akanoid (Japan)(Atl 2), Akanoid (Japan)(Atl 3). Which one do I keep? I only one version of each game.

Browsing through the latest databases and came across Final Burn Alpha with over 5000 games. Isn't this just an alternative to Mame, Neo Geo and Turbografx all rolled into one emulator? Can someone shed some light into this system? Is there a need for it? Seems to me that it will just replicate all the games I already have.

Good day to you all, I was directed here by a good friend, of whom i had pleasure of visting recently, to see the wow factor in his living room. I have been console/arcade gaming for over 25/30 years, currently own xbox one and Dreamcast (19 year old) I want to go over to the pc side now, as it is clear, gaming on pc totally wipes out consoles. I am downloading the mame 155 set and they are all placed inside folders. Do I just drop the folders into the rom directory with the zipped roms? Is there anything I need to do special in HyperHQ or HyperLaunchHQ?

Any way games from different platforms can be launched from a single wheel? To elaborate this, a collection of a franchise that consists of game versions in several consoles, is it possible to launch each one of these under one main wheel?

I am having a tough time getting my system to work. I'm not sure if it is a setting that i pressed? Now it is broke. Both HS and RL will hang up on this screen when I run multiple emulators including Mame. The emulators ALL work outside of the software. Here is what's weird, If I run RLUI and go to MAME (ver .201) I say choose 1942. It will run , I will try another game it might or might not run , I go back to 1942 or any other game and it gives me this screen. For HS I get this screen every time . I can't figure this out. Help! Hello, Been looking around the forums trying to find a good way to be able to use one key/macro to exit: emulator, system games menu, but another different key/macro to exit Hyperspin (to desktop....have a hidden button under the CP..) Is this possible to do? Thomas

Hi all, Would anyone be kind enough to tell me how to get JoyToKey to close when I exit HyperSpin?? I have it opening with Hyperspin, but it remains open when I exit. Then when I open HS again, my controller no longer works because JoyToKey remained open! This is the last little step in my HS build and it's annoying the hell out of me!! lol Thanks Andy

Newb here, It seems that every time I launch a game in my hyperspin setup the log file pops up. It's quite annoying and for the life of me I can't figure out how to disable it. When I close hypserspin there are like 20 instances of TextPad opened that I have to close. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

We are trying to get hyperspin running with 4 Brook Universal Fighting boards and having trouble getting the joystick/button mapping to work both in games and in hyperspin. hi PBP files are awesome for saving space, and epsxe PBP support is flawless...almost. When you're opening a multidisc pbp, let's say FFIX, epsxe open a window for letting you choose which disc you want to launch, but HS can't deal with that window and get stuck here... Anybodu succeed to solve that problem?

I'm having a problem again that I had before and there was no resolution, but it just started working and worked for several months. Now it's not working again. When I launch a Visual Pinball table directly from RocketLauncher, all is well. It behaves properly. But when I launch one from HyperSpin, the table never comes into focus. It just loads in the background and I have to press Alt-Tab to switch to it. I've tried turning fade in off and a bunch of other settings and just can't figure this out, but again, it works perfectly fine in RL directly. I'd really appreciate some suggestions here. Hi all, I had started creating some instructions for each game I have but, whilst tinkering with Rocketlauncher and Hyperspin I've seen reference to "Instruction Cards" which would be *exactly* what I would like? So, my question is, how do I set them up (i.e. where to get them, what folder to put them in and how to access them from Hyperspin - if it's possible?)?? Anyone any ideas on this? Do people use them or was it just an abandoned part of the software? Thanks for any help you can give me.

Hello, I successfully added the 16:9 Metalzoic Bezels, but now I can't get rid of the MAME command window. I have HyperHQ and Hyperspin 1.3 and already tried hide emulator/desktop/etc. Any idea of how to get rid of this window? Thanks in advance....

Hello my friends. I am a long time Mame user and just recently finished my Verticade home made arcade cabinet. Download HyperV which worked immediately, spend a few hours figgering out tweaking it (add Scanlines, spinner, favourites etc.) and it just works fine, like it. It has 1000+ games on it and it starts up with my ~120 fave games and is working with just the buttons, very happy. So now I am building my Horizontade mame cabinet with my favourite horizontal games. So then I downloaded a Hyperspin from punkarcade with 400 top games which looks really nice.
