I got myself a registred version of Joy2Key. My problem is that every time I try to set up a system with HLHQ the key (which sits in the joytokey.ini) isn't copied as well. The newly created profile opens with the 'free' version of joytokey. JoyToKey profiles are kept in the profiles directory as it should be (created by HLHQ) I can only assume that with the creation of a new system- emu- or game profile, the joytokey.ini is created from scratch. Is there a way that the 'orginal' joytokey.ini can be used when creating a new profile (other than copying it manually to the newly created directory)? Or is there a template in the LIB folder I can alter?

Is there a way to have LEDBlinky speak the coin buttons and the 1P/2P Start buttons? I am using these buttons as Select & Start for many console systems and I haven't been able to have their name spoken, but all the other player buttons work fine. I have the "Name (Voice)" field filled in for all buttons. Thanks in advance.

Hey guys, I am hoping I can get some assistance from the community, as I am new to the hyperspin program and am trying to put together my own cabinet. When I use Dons list generator, the program will open up (just like in the video) and I can see all the games i have and the video clips for them, but after i go through the games and exclude the ones i dont want, nothing actually happens on the hyperspin wheel... I exported the excluded lists and the output list, but again, the wheel still shows every MAME game ever made. What am I doing wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! The filter I used was a simple wheel filter. I excluded all the games i didnt h…

Now that I have LEDblinky working well with MAME I want to set -up some other systems to say and blink primary controls and buttons. I've been using the LEDBlinky Controls Editor to do this. I've figures out how to map the buttons but I'm having trouble setting the primary control so the TTS voice and say something like. "Primary Control, 8 Way Joystick" So two questions: 1. Where do you set the primary control 2. Does anyone have a config file that already has other systems set-up? I realize I would have to go in and edit them but I'm thinking it could save time looking at how others have it set-up.

Hi there, I feel I'm up to the stage where I can build a test CP to set up the software for it but I was wondering which I should get. As far as I can see, the I has the shift feature which is great but I don't know of I feel I really need it, I'd have it to use down the line. The U has the led control feature which I assume lets you control and map out LEDs? I can use it to flash lights in and around my cabinet? I'm having deeper research tomorrow but just wondering with you guys, the experts for your opinions. Sent from my HTC_PN071 using Tapatalk

-Everybody knows Deamon Tools doesn't mount if the -cue is internally pointing to a non exsistent -bin. -Worse, you have dozens of -bin files but without the -cues. -You would like to rename your files to Hyperlist standards but that means all the -cue files have to be updated. -Do you even know how to do all this? I had the same problems (except the latter). Realizing the potential of AHK I wrote a little thing myself to do the job quicker. Much quicker. I call it Cue - Editor - Creator (CEC for short). And why not share it? Features: - For MATCHING -bin and -cue file names (the filenames are correct but internally the cue doesn't match) it matches the -cue intern…

My LEDBlinky is telling me "No Audio Devices Found" when I go into config, and try to set up audio animation. There are none in the dropdown box. My sound works fine in HS, all Emu, youtube, etc. Anyone have any idea? I have tried to uninstall/reinstall newest drivers as well with no luck. I am using the onboard sound for Asus Z-87-A, RealTek audio. Thanks

I know there are other tools that do this already but needed something to run on my linux box and RaspPi. Anyways, I noticed that several of the XML files here didn't have all the Japanese games in the XML and I wasn't about to manually add them all in (as well as some prototype games and betas/hacks whatever) so I wrote up this python script to export an XML for HyperSpin/HyperLaunch to use to find all my games. I'm using standard python libraries so its cross-platform. Usage is: python HyperCustomList.py /path/to/roms /path/to/output.xml Figured that someone else may find it useful. HyperCustomList.zip

I wrote a small program to read files in a directory based off of a filter and create a simple xml file to be used as a database, wheel etc. 4 Steps... 1. Browse and select your rom directory. 2. pick a filter (iso, zip etc.) Type it in if you don't see what you need in the format *.zip 3. Type in a name without suffix for your new xml file. 4. Click the button. Your new xml file will be placed in your rom directory with the chosen name. This database is very simple with name only but has a full structure. I wanted this so I didn't have a ton of games in the wheel that I did not have. When I add more games, I simply rerun the program. It's in my directory on th…

Hello, I am currently setting up my HyperSpin installation but I am running in a small issue right now. I have the "No-Intro" romsets and I am using "Dons HyperSpin ROM Renamer" to validate and copy them in the proper folder. The ROM Renamer say that I am not missing any roms but when I open "Dons HyperSpin List Generator" and select "Nintendo 64" along with it's database, it say that all games are missing. The problem seem to be related to the folders names where I copy my roms at as the "Game path" field stays empty when I press "Scan" for the platforms the tools can't see my roms. For Nintendo 64, I use the following path: HyperSpin/Emulators/RomFiles/Nintendo 64…

This is my first time using Don's Hyperspin Tools and I'm loving all its features, but I can't get video preview to work. My video player is blank white. Nothing shows up inside. When I press play it says "Playing XXXX" where XXXX is whatever game I have selected, but nothing ever shows up. Is there a specific driver or anything I need to make it work? It seems to find the videos (they are marked Yes in the video column) and they are in mp4 format, and they play fine in Hyperspin itself. I'm running Windows XP SP3 on a Pentium 4. Thanks.

Another Don's Hyperspin Tools questions: one of the columns in the list is Rankings. Mine is completely empty for all games. I've seen the rankings.ini file out there although it's only up-to-date as of MAME 0.143. Is there some way to get this into the listxml or the List Generator? I'd love to be able to filter out the obvious lousy games from the list without having to go through each one individually.

Has anyone been able to use CPWizard on another emulator than MAME?, The help available is too limited even though the help says that if possible (nintendo 64 mario kart in the example), someone can help me or made it work and integrate in HS?

I have a heap of gamecube GCM and ISO's files which need to be renamed to work in hyperspin I have tried to use don's tools to rename them but when i try to I keep getting the "It appears that this XML file does not have any CRC tags for your games. Either this system is not currently supported or your XML file is out of date" what does this mean as the XML I'm using is what i recently downloaded from the hyperlist???? is there any other way to rename these file to work??

I hope this is just a noob question that's easily fixed, but I can't seem to download the MESS 0.148 package from the MAME/MESS site. When clicking on the link it says the file can't be found, I've even tried clicking many times to get different mirrors and the result is always the same. Is there another place I can get this? 0.149 that I'm using presently has issues with HyperPause. Thanks!

I have a collection of my favorite (and playable) Super Famicom titles. Is there a way to create an xml file based on the contents of the ROM directory? I would later on add year and other info manually but to begin with, I just need a simple file.

Release Date 8.27.2012 Author Ronald (rain) Harsh Brief Overview Well, I am back again and this time with another take on an old concept which is to verify a ROM set against the online database for said system. I present to you Duckifier, an utility that fetches the latest databases available for a selected system and scans a folder (of your choosing) against the database. This will help you to verify your sets are in compliance with the latest standards as quickly as possible. I designed this application some time ago but have never released it to the public, but here you go. Using Duckifier First, you can download the program from the 3rd party applications (loc…

It seems to be a common theme in the forums where users are requesting help on renaming their ROMsets to work with HyperSpin. The common suggestion is clrmamepro. While it is a powerful tool and has many features, it is not very intuitive to use and has of setup overhead just to rename files. As a result I will be including an easy to use file auto-renamer in the next version of Don's HyperSpin List Generator. I would like to get your feedback on if there are any extra features you would like in this new tool (beyond what I have mentioned below). Overview: Think of this app as a simplified version of clrmamepro tailored for HyperSpin and to have one purpose, rename y…

Simply enough I show off my Hyperspin quite often to people. I hate my system looking incomplete from me either updating this and that or I know a system doesn't work. I wrote this batch script so I could just swap between showing off and work mode. It swaps the 2 xml's in the main menu folder database. I have one edited with EVERYTHING i am working on then the other is cut down for just showing off what is actually fully working with artwork and controllers. You have to create a spare file and trim it and also create 2 folders but in essence it does what I need. I just shortcut to it from my desktop. If you have a better idea on how to do this feel free to post a scri…

**FIXED** I have an issue trying to run WinIpac. It used to work - I have a config set up that was working fine (as a test). I tore everything down to finish the cab, put it back together. I went to reconfigure and now when I try to run WinIpac it looks like it loads and runs, however no window comes up. It is in the taskbar and task manager, and the IPAC IS working (with my programmed config). At first I thought the window was off the screen, but there is no "move" option. Using: Win 7 64-bit IPAC2 I tried uninstalling, disconnecting the IPAC and rebooting, then reinstalling and it still has same issue. Anyone ever encounter this? Is there some registry entry some…
