Hey Guys, Quick question, I'm setting up LED blinky and its working fine for my mame stuff, but I cant figure out the SNES part. I'm trying to add the snes emulator to my list in LED Blinky controls editor but i have no idea what to type in for the name. I added a game using the name of the rom but if i cant get the "name" of the snes emulator right, none of the buttons will light up. Any advice? Also, i read in the manual about the import unknown games function and that im supposed to use that, the problem is that none of my snes games show up in that list so i think i have to add the snes emulator manually. Any help would be very appreciated thanks kevin

Yes, the original coder, me and Tonycrew would like to ask here if anybody would like to see a new completely re-coded 2nd and better version of the Hyperspin Total Editor? 6 years later, 6 more years of programming experience, as well as Tonycrew. Does anybody like the idea? Hyperspin Total Editor 1 (click me)

Hey Everyone, Here's my situation I have the Howler control board, and I am using single (non RGB) LED Buttons. I also have LED Blinky and i want to only have the buttons that are required for the game to light up. How do I do this? Here's what I've done so far: Used howler config to assign button 1 to "keyboard "A" " Told Hyperspin HQ to enable LED Blinky and specified LED Blinky path Mapped my button using LED Blinky input map set front end in LED Blinky config to Hyperspin Told LED BLinky the path to MAME Config forlder Here's where I'm lost, when I load hyperspin, cycle through systems, select mame and cycle through games, the LED stays lit the entire time.…

QuickMame 2.x (Released) As many of you already know, I am a real big fan of bringing projects back from the brink of extinction, and with the help and coaxing of a friend of mine this time it is no different. I have not been very active on the forums here of late, but please don't take that as a sign of productivity being slow or halted. Today I am officially very proud to announce the release of QuickMame 2.x (post-beta.) This version of QuickMame has been specifically designed to run on Microsoft Windows 8, though it will run on other operating systems (see below for instructions.) Why would you want to use QuickMame? That is a very relative question, and the o…

Hello all, I have been trying to help some users out there with their setup. Many people do not know what RDP or Remote Desktop is. So I hope to enlighten here. For the most part, people that off help here, can be trusted. If the user has fairly high post count. If you are concerned, just remember, you can un-install the software. For many, this is "old-hat". So we will just dive right in. TeamViewer is a free for personal, non-commercial use. It allows you to launch the program and give the other person an ID code and password. They can then log into your computer and take shared control of it. The process is simple (as shown below) and it works no matter wha…

Last version: 0.6 [07/08/11] Hi there With this application, you can manage your roms database and content (artwork/wheel/video). In roms management, you have a list of rom in database, list of rom in database but not in folder, and a list of rom in folder but not in database. You can add/remove as you like (and also delete them from hdd if you don't need them anymore). Info scraping for freshly added rom + automatic crc for each rom added. Entry in list are colored, so you know what you have added, modified ... In content management, you have a list of roms, with the status of each content (artwork/wheel/video). RED-> Missing GREEN-> OK. You also have a …

I'm trying to match aeon nox in hyperspin but I encountered a problem: HS does not show much info. Here's a w.i.p. screenshot I would like to have infos on the right (name, year, manufacture, conversions, etc). So the answer is, is it possibile to overlay hyperspin with a third party app to show these info from an .xml while browsing roms and systems? Probably creating .xmls would be as long as creating infos trought artwork layers BUT with .xmls based infos it would be possible to share them trought different themes only changing lines position...

Since I had lucky with getting help about the random intro video, I figured I'd press my luck once more with a new thread. This time the goal is to look at the main menu xml and display the system description (like the games can do) in the bottom left corner. I'm looking for something like Nintendo, 1985 nintendo entertainment system The other goal here is to create genres for the system main menu. I'd like genres like console, handheld, arcade, other, and all (to display what would be the standard main menu wheel now). I have the main menu xml with descriptions, year, manufacture added already. I have created the genres as well but genres nor the descriptions worked t…

// I literally just started working on this today and it looks promising. // I need someone with more experience to help finish up this 2 Wii Remotes // = 2 Light Guns Script. I have been looking EVERYWHERE for a solution. // // These two lines are the issue: // PPJoy.Analog0 = wiimote2.PointerX // PPJoy.Analog1 = wiimote2.PointerY // // They are not responding as they should. I was looking for a Joystick to Mouse script, // then removing mousecursorX & mousecursorY (or whatever the commands are) and replacing // them with the wiimote2.PointerX & wiimote2.PointerY (with whatever I am missing). // // Not sure if these work either: // PPJoy.Analog2 = Wi…

I can't figure out why I am struggling with this so much but it is time to ask for help. I want to write a simple VBS that will do two things in a loop: - Write the romname ("name") into a variable - Write the emulator ("EMU") into a varible So, I'll use a sample HS XML as an example: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="no"?> <!--Generated by Don's HyperSpin Tools version 4.2.6--> <!--MAME--> <menu> <game image="'" index="true" name="88games"> <description>'88 Games</description> <cloneof /> <crc /> <manufacturer>Konami</manufacturer> <year&…

Is there an app that will read the xml for a particular system and than search my media folder for wheel art for the same games? For example, I'm setting up ZX spectrum and there is no wheel for it but I know a lot of those games are available for other systems. I'm looking for a way to dig through all other wheels for other systems and find the same game wheel art and copy it over.Outrun for example is also available on Mame, Master System and Genesis as well.

I found this while searching for something to rename all of my rom files to match the various artwork packs I've downloaded off the HS forums. This is a MUST HAVE if you need to rename a ton of files for any reason...a great little freeware program where you just drop the files you want to rename (entire directories or whatever) and then throw in the wildcards you need...then hit "rename" and you're done. I found this extremely useful when my romsets had something like donkeykong (usa/europe) # 7800.zip or something for the filename and I needed it to say donkeykong.zip. Just put the wildcard " (*) # 7800 " (without quotes) in the "remove" rule and click "Interpret symbol…

Hi Guys, Looking for a DL link to a HS 3rd Party App I used to use. The app would essentially allow you to visually audit your systems by scrolling through games. It should then show you the Wheel Art (it showed the image) and whether you had the ROM or not. It was pretty awesome. If you didn't have either the ROM or the Wheel Art, it would show a big red X image instead for that item. Anybody remember the name of this app or have a DL link? Thanks!

If, like myself, you were wondering what all this DAT stuff was, this is for you. (I assume most of you all don't need to read on except for a laugh). Ultra-noob here: I tried CLRMAMEPRO a few weeks ago using the DOCS tutorial and couldn't wrap my mind around it. I finally sat down with it again today and just touched shit until I got it working. So, here's a very simplistic tutorial for noobs. 1:First off, don't let the name freak you out. Say it like this = C.L.R. MAME PRO. Voila. One hurdle down. 2:Ok, the first thing you need to do is download DAT files. I suggest dling a DAT for all systems you have. In order to complete this mission, all you need to know is HYPER…

As mentioned in Ron's thread about TeamViewer I feel there ought to be a way to use HLHQ on a low res arcade monitor by scrolling around a virtual desktop with a high enough resolution to display the whole program. I don't actually have an arcade monitor, but I remembered using a virtual desktop on the Atari ST many years ago and thought I'd try to help out. However, I have so far failed to find anything that works as required. Most tools (e.g. SDesk, GiMiSpace, WindowSlider, 360desktop) seem to limit the size of any window to the actual monitor resolution, but allow you to have lots of windows spread out on a large desktop that extends beyond the edge of the screen. …

I realize CPWizard is intended to Pause MAME, take a screen shot, and minimize MAME while CPWizard is displayed. But I have CPWizard loading to a second screen (my marquee screen) when I hit the Show Button and I don't want it to pause or minimize MAME. I am able to turn off the pausing, but I can't figure out how to keep it from minimizing. I know it's not a video card issue because I can Alt Tab to MAME when this happens and sort of force it to display MAME on my main screen while the CPWizard CP display is on my second screen I'm using CPWizard in minimized resident mode on Windows boot, and use HyperLaunch to trigger a 30 second display when the game loads witho…

I mostly ask this because my current XML has no ratings in it. I used RomLister to make my XML, and it has all the info... except ratings. So, I'm just wondering if someone has already made something to edit ratings, years, and really any info.

I have read all the threads and tutorials on these forms on folder structures and naming conventions for xpadder but they don't seem to address the issue I am having. I'm on day 3 of trying to fix this. I have created seperate p1, p2, p3, p4, and blank xpadder profiles. I then put these profiles in the appropriate folder for Hyperspin, Hyperlaunch, _Default, etc. I go into HyperlaunchHQ and I go to each of the controls and hit the test button for the xpadder mapping. The mapping works but it just maps the keys to the player 1 joystick only regardless of which player I choose. For example, if I test p2 and I move the player 1 joystick, the keys I have assigned to the…
