I wrote a simple application to help check what is missing in HyperSpin for your systems. I have been using this for a bit now and I think it works ok so I thought I would release it for all. This application relies on the settings you enter into HyperHQ. You will need to specify your ROM path as well as whether or not to use a subfolder search. It also relies on the extensions in HyperHQ. You need to unzip the EXE to a new folder of your choice. When you run the application you can choose which system you want to process or you can process all systems. It will create a text file for each system that shows you what you are missing. Hi! I´m just having this idea on my mind as I´m dealing finishing my cab and trying to figure out how to deal with Xpadder and profiles is killing me. I put in HyperHQ when it starts to load Xpadder... right? So my question is: Is there a way to close the Xpadder every time I´m loading a game, and when I exit the game, to open Xpadder again? I hope my question is clear :S Thanks!

Hello, HyperSearch seems a very good extension for Hyperspin, thanks for the idea. Anyway, it is impossible for me to make it work. Right I have been tinkering with Xpadder for some time but I could never get my head around it. I knew I would have to sooner or later as the way I want my system to run is totally of XBOX controllers. OK... I was having some real issues getting the virtual joysticks to register with this game.... With the help of my good friend Majorspawn ( Big Credit to him for the files.......thanks champion)... We have stumbled on a relatively easy fix for those of us using Ipacs so that p1 -p2 controllers are available in the new Double Dragon Neon game... This hack has been done before and we have not created the files..... Big thanks to who ever it was that created it... So simply copy Xinput1_3.dll and x360kb.ini ( in my ftp) into your game directory (bin folder)... Open x360kb.ini and change your keyboard inputs to match... Hi all, first post so be gentle. Spent the last few weeks setting up a HyperSpin build and I have the majority all configured (emus, themes, artwork & videos). Whilst most things I have been able to figure out with a lot of reading through the forums the one thing that I'm struggling with is LEDBlinky. I have the basics working (PACLED64 and UltraLux RGB buttons) but still have a few questions:- For MAME can I setup a default illumination to light all buttons if no game profile found (looks better than everything off)? Hey. Hoping Arzoo and co may have a simple answer. Now before I start I have in no way got this set up properly! My Pacled64 arrived yesterday but my rgb buttons haven't as yet arrived so I'm sort of in the middle. Anyway I wanted to check the board / LB worked and saw each other etc so I wired in the Pacled64 which LB seems to see as it stopped complaining it wasn't there. Anyway I set up all the options (I think) to get it to speak in Mame and hopefully HS. However nothing, games laid without saying the name, controls etc, it's like LB isn't there. I am trying to get Ledblinky working with Steam. When I launch the Steam wheel the default button lighting that I configured for it lights up. However, when I launch a game the lights go out.

This is just in case anyone else is wanting to use XBMC along with HS. Note, I'm using the brand spankin' new version of XBMC so I have no idea if it will work with other versions...even though I would assume so. If you already have Silverjuke setup to run through HS, I just pretty much did the same thing. I created a .lnk file for XBMC and threw it in my emulators directory under a folder called XBMC (o:\Hyperspin\Emulators\XBMC\xbmc.lnk which is linking to c:\program files\xbmc\xbmc.exe). I have LED blink working great with my mame game wheel. in mame, all the correct buttons light up when playing a game. I setup a few other wheels that still point to the same mame games (ex. capcom, neogeo, nintendo vs....) i would like to know if there is a way for these other wheels to reference the mame list of button light up configurations so that i don't have to define each game under the other wheels. or if there is a better way to accomplish this, let me know. thanks example: playing sunset riders under the mame wheel lights up button 1 and 2 (perfect) playing sunset riders under the capcom wheel lights up all the buttons (should just …

Hoping someone can help me with an issue I'm experiencing when exit the mame game, here is what happens. Xpadder is configured to use my pc3 controller, i have xpadder opened, launch hyperspin, controller works, select mame and wheel through the different roms and select a game. game opens and the controls i set in mame work just fine as far as game play and inserting coins etc. In mame i have UI cancel = "select button" on the ps3 controller and when i click it it exits the game and takes me back to the mame menu for the game i was playing. Motivation: For almost 3 years, I am hunting for the ultimate experience to create personalized gamelists to use in HS. For MAME, there are a lot of tools such as RomLister from Jeff, and a whole bunch of additional cuatom datafiles, which provide additional Info, such as e.g. "Game Genre", "Controls used" and "Number of Players". Then in another axis, you have HS specific tools, the BEST BY FAR being Don's Toolset by fellow member "emb". Help, I am trying to get my NES roms all set up on Hyperspin. The games play just fine through Hyperspin. The problem is that when I run the List Generator, the games I have in the roms folder are not listed. When I a system audit on HyperHQ, the games show up. Any ideas?

Hi all, this is not a major problem but is boring me a lot. I'm using Dons Hyperspin ROM Renamer with the xml that we can find at HyperSpin\Databases. It worked almost fine with NES, N64, 32x, Genesis and SNES but the roms are not at zip or 7z format anymore, the renamer unzipped all my files after renaming. Am I doing something wrong?

Hello. I hope it is under the right topic with 3rd party software.. Today i finally got my xbox usb receiver to connect a wireless controller to my pc....yahoo. So i got xpadder for it.....played with it for a bit....got the idea of how it worked. So i setup a nice profile for having it work with hyperspin....it works....maybe not the best button layout...but i can browse...go back.....select a game.....set my "exit" button to select and start pressed together.... All worked. So...it was time to set it up for a game. I took sega genesis cause it was easily located on my list in hq on the left. Setup fusion with a button layout. Idea: Screenpack Selector Since HyperSpin seems to look in HyperSpin\Media\Main Menu\Themes folder when it loads, I've got an idea that I hope doesn't sound ridiculous or gets overlooked. I got this idea after using Faahrev's Hyperspin Launcher. In short, your HyperSpin\Media\Main Menu\Themes folder would be empty with the exception that all of your themes would be segregated into folders i.e. HyperSpin, Unified Mega Theme, XBMC, Alternate, etc. allowing you to have collections of themes. The Screenpack Selector would allow you to choose from one of the listed styles & it would migrate them to the themes folder or do a straight copy process, whichever is safest (us…

Ok a little history.... Before I realized the new version of HS and some of the EMUs could run ISO's etc without DT Lite, I was happy oblivious as they worked so I had no need to fix them. Then one day BAM!!! I get an error pop up, the heading was "DEAMONSearchbar" and the box inside says "Error:Engine loading was failed" (Terrible England). So I went through everything, seen if I changed something, reboots, reinstalled drives, reinstalled Daemontools, changed settings in the program bu nothing? Had a look with google to see if anything pops up, I get 3 hits which are obvious, one states the guy fixed it but does not say how, one asks the question on the Daeomontools…

I have never used XPadder and don't really know much about it. I just had a thought and was wondering if this is something that can be done using it. I have 40 systems set up on my cab and I'm using an X-Arcade dual controller to play the games. I also have an XBOX 360 controller connected, but I never use it. Can i set up XPadder so that I at any given time can pick up the 360 controller and play the games with that instead? I was just thinking that this would be awesome if I ever wanted to use my hyperspin setup on a TV in a livingroom or something. No config Changes would need to be made. Just a thought. Hi all, Introducing Launcher. It's a little program that allows you to run and choose from a (custom) set of systems before running Hyperspin. All it takes is this program (unzip to a location of your own choice) and your own custom set of 'Main Menu.xml's' Suppose you'd like to run Hyperspin with only the Arcade systems. Or systems that are hand-held. Copy your Main Menu.xml to whatever name (but with the extension .opt) in \Hyperspin\Databases\Main Menu, edit this file to your liking and you're done. I have after many hours... got STEEM working properly, BUT I cant use shortcut keys in STEEM itself ????????????????????? No idea why? Simply set F12 as toggle fullscreen and it does nothing?
