Thank you so much for all the inspiration, generous contributions with all your knowledge and thanks for the amazing work done by people like Noah, Zebulon, Mameman among others. The theme for the artwork will orbit around the movie "Rango". I'm a professional Digital Artist working in the movie industry for almost 10 years now and I was lucky enough to have the chance to work in this movie, as a Senior Modeler (I sculpted a few characters, like The Mayor, Waffles and The Spirit of The West, among other background characters). Since the movie won the Oscar last year, I decided to pay homage to it. If you haven't seen it yet you should! It's a great little flick. I'm ok t…

I know I'm becoming a pita but I'm struggling to find a decent TV for my back box. LG do two 26" tvs which would be ideal, guess what, discontinued/unavailable everywhere and yet they are listed on LGs site The maximum available space in my back box is 626mm wide by 433mm high. Thanks, again! Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk

Hi Guys, I'm getting ready to build my own Retrocade bartop. I know the TinyArcadeMachine kit is no longer available. I love the look of the control panel artwork, with the button labels lined up. I'm looking at kits from ArcadeWarp & Tippers, but I can't tell if either kit will be compatible with the control panel / front panel artwork. I've already read the No-Bull MAME book and Project Arcade 2.0, but I'm stumped which kit to use and how to get MikeKim's artwork to match up perfectly, especially on the Control Panel & Front Panel. This will be my first arcade build, so I'm looking to make the process as simple as possible. If someone could let me know th…

Hi guys. Wondering if anyone has ever used one of these as a DMD monitor? Everything runs to it via a USB cable. Seems it would eliminate the need for a second vid card to run the DMD? Thanks http://www.bestbuy.ca/en-CA/product/aoc-aoc-15-6-widescreen-led-monitor-e1649fwu-e1649fwu/10191474.aspx?path=026070833be4c6b7606880fe155f8295en02

That's right folks. With an update from Steam you can now move your DMD to your third screen. Enjoy!!!!!!!!!! Here's how you do it. Youn numbers may be different than mine depending on your screen resolution and if you're using a 2 or 3 screen cabinet. First in the PFX2 settings menu change the DMD size setting to OFF Then do this

I have always purchased LG in the past, most recently an LG ips for my G4D cab, again is there any specific reason why people don't seem to be using these? I'm looking to use a 42" or 46", do you guys have any recommendations for me please. Thanks Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk

Does anyone know which 39" or 40" screen would fit inside a 520mm inside cabinet width ? Interested in both cased and decased. I'm open to routing a few mm from the sides if needs be but I will need to lower the screen in from the top. Thanks Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk

Hello Spinners & Pinners, I've been busy with a cool graphic design project, my client wanted matching sports themed Chicago Blackhawks designs for his pinball & pedestal machines. I worked with both VPcabs and Dream Home Arcades to custom match all the decal sets for both projects. The goal was to have a 'brother & sister' type design motif for both cabinets. I made similar custom logos for both cabinets and reoccurring design elements for both layouts. The end result is a very cool and modern looking sports game room experience. When both machines are showcased with matching color, quality and attention to detail the proof is in the pudding. I hope to s…

Do you guys think this would be a good donor cab? http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=111315572506&globalID=EBAY-GB I prefer the wider backbox from the newer tables but I could just build a new one for it. Just thought that at the right price it would be worth it just for the legs, side rails, lock down bar etc. Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk

Hi guys, I'm new here and before I start my new adventure, I shall share some info about me My name is Wilbert AKA Superfrog, and I'm building some bartops. Here are some pictures of my creations: To see the bartops in action, you can take a look at my YouTube channel for more info. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCa8iVCPe0APw7517FTXtVwQ/videos After I finished my Popeye Nintendo bartop with crt monitor, I needed a new challenge. Did some lurking over the net, and jump right into some great build here on Hyperspin. I want to make a pinball and arcade machine in one. I think it's already done before, but not by me I wanna do a mini Pinball 2000 version …

SO I put this empty cab up for sale on the webstore and it sold within 24 hours. The only condition was that he wants to pick it up this Weekend!! So here goes the Warp Speed Build with no corners cut. Started yesterday afternoon. Before and after of the gun and coin door. Adding some bling to clean it up a bit. PC and wiring wrapped up. Just waiting on a few mercury tilt switches.

Hi everyone ! I'm playing Future Pinball for one week now, but do not get better framerates than 22fps with disabling filtering and some other graphic stuff. I'm using the integrated videochip of my i3-2120T and that's the problem for sure. Due to the fact that I do not want to spend too much money for a videocard I do not really need and I want to have one that does not produce too much heat I found this one. http://www.mindfactory.de/product_info.php/pid/billiger/info/p812512_2048MB-Gainward-GeForce-GTX-650-Aktiv-PCIe-3-0-x16--Retail-.html What's your opinion about this card and would I be able to play all future pinball tables with good framerates with it ? My sy…

Greetings! After building my first Pinball Cab, the Pin Devil, i decided to go one step further and build a Full Size Visual Pinball cab, based on an old cab built by Zaccaria, an former italien manufacturer of pinball machines. The Soccer Kings will be the donor cab, to carry a 37" LED-Screen as playfield, a 28" TFT-Monitor as backbox and a 10" Photoframe-TFT as DMD. /Update: As it wont fit very well with the 17" TFT i will go with a 10" Photoframe by Samsung as Mini TFT. Its a bit smaller, but the backbox is still foldable. Update: No, i will stick with the 17". The 10" photoframe is way too small, and to slow in screenupdates" And as it was planned fot the Pin Devi…

Ordered my cab kit from Virtuapin today and I'm trying to figure out the electrical side of things. I was using bill55's excellent shopping list as a base: http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/forum/showthread.php?17455-Indiana-Jones-and-the-Pinball-Crusade-%2846-28-15%29-build-project Then I came across zebs boards from a link in the forum and saw his virtual output kit: http://www.zebsboards.com/index.php/feedback-control-devices/virtual-output-kit-detail I really like the look of this at it seems to power everything from an ATX supply as in LEDS, shaker motor, strobes, knocker etc. So I guess my questions as a complete pinball cab newbie are: 1) Am I interpreting th…

Hi Folks, I was able to find a 1978 Williams Widebody version of a pinball table called "Contact". It is not collectable from what I see, so it will be used to create the base of my HyperPin build. Parts that I have available include the following: CPU Board Power Supply Board Driver Board Translite c/w lighted back board Wiring Harnesses I also have original documents as noted below: Manual Supplement Catalogue Programming Manual Wiring Schematic I live near Ottawa, Ontario, so PM me if you are interested. I am in the early stages of building a HyperPin cabinet. I am waiting on my lockdown bar so that I can get correct measurements for the cabinet. In the meantime I've started building the PC and getting the software running. The problem I'm having right now seem like it should be simple, so I'm probably just missing something. I'm using HyperPin, VP9 and FPLaunch 1.295 WIP 10. In the table, if I hit ESC I get the VP pause menu (not what I want). If I tap e I get the hyperpin exit menu (back, instructions, flyer, service, exit) if I hold e I get the exiting in 3..2..1 I like it this way and plan on making my "exit" button on the cabinet map the e on the ipac. The p…

Hey all. Showing off my hyperpin cabinet The Pin Reaper! First thing I want to say is thank you to all the members on this forum and table creators for making this possible. Second I want to thank Jack with Arcadesrfun for his work on the cabinet. Being a Dad of 2 small children and a business owner I have very little free time to build a cabinet. I decided to check out Jack at ArcadesRFun and see about a flat pack being shipped. We got to talking and long story short, I had Jack build me the cabinet. I purchased the monitors which were shipped to him and he assembled and wired the cabinet for me. The workmanship is truly amazing. If you're pressed for time and w…
