Hey folks. I'm going to be building my very first cab soon but I am really struggling to find some cheap Arcade sticks and buttons. I found this guy but he charges way too much for me. http://www.ultracabs.co.uk/arcade-usb-interface-4-c.asp Anyone know of anywhere I can pick up a 2player set and the flatpack relatively cheap? I'm in the north of England.

So I'm going to use a 27" tube television in my cab. It's a jvc. It has a pushbutton or remote start. Originally, my plan was to just have a small hole in the outer bezel over the IR eye so I could use the remote to turn it on. But now that I have the cab, I'm thinking of other ways this could be done. Any ideas? I'm sure I'm not the first to try it. I have some mild electronic experience, and enough to know the TV can kill me. But I was thinking of removing the plastic cover to get to the on/off pushbutton switch and bypass it to send it to an on/off switch I could mount on top of the cab somewhere discrete.

I'm not sure if it's my PC not being strong enough or I have settings off. I use NullDC for Dreamcast. When I run the emulator by itself in windowed mode, it runs perfect (I tested with the game EGG). When I tested in HyperSpin, fullscreen, it ran choppy and slow (I tried to play Soul Calibur and Sword of Berserk). PC Specs: Intel Core 2 Duo @ 1.50 Ghz 2 GB Ram Basic Integrated Intel Video (Laptop) Now, 3DO also ran slow/choppy (I tested Alone in the Dark). JUST THOUGHT OF SOMETHING: The games that ran slow are all 3D games right? So is it just my PC that won't allow me to run 3D type games? I will try to play EGG in HyperSpin, fullscreen and see what it doe…

It's a Fighting Vipers cabinet. I got this one because of the inner dimensions. It had to fit my 27" Television. The only other ones they had with those larger dimensions were golden tee and a few others that were out of the budget. I'm very happy though! Cant wait to start cleaning it up,touching it up, fixing it up and hooking it up. I doubt that I'll keep the marquee. It came with a nice thick piece of glass for the front also. I paid $150 flat for it. I'm going to do all the repairs, modifications, electronics and setup myself. But I have a professional painter in the family to make my baby look sweet when it's ready.

I'd like to leave HS running, but since my cabinet is in the living room, the random sounds can get annoying. I usually turn down the volume manually, or turn it off. It would be nice if HS had an option to auto-mute the system after some period of time. For example, after 5 minutes without user input, it lowers the volume or mutes it. That way, my lazy self doesn't need to walk over to the thing to shut it up. ~ or maybe someone can suggest another way to achieve that?

Just a small request Bill. I moved my HyperSpin Folder earlier, as I was testing it now it took me a couple of minutes before I remembered I needed to edit paths. Using relative paths would eliminate this problem entirely.

this one would be a lot of work, but I think would make a lot more sense. instead of the mainmenu listing emulators, it would be better if it listed genres. that way if you want to play say a fighting game, you dont have to hunt around to remember what emulator you have it under. or you can quickly switch between light gun games and not have to jump out and change emulator menus (eg from mame -> genres -> light guns to playstation -> genres -> lightguns etc). end users dont really care what emulator/system games are under, they want to play games, and easily find them. a lot of work and is dependent on getting games all put into genres (i'm not sure if …

A handful of the transitions are really, really loud in comparison to the other sounds (wheels, videos, etc.). It would be nice to be able to control the volume on transition effects independently, or at least have them adjust according to another setting (other than master volume). As it stands I will need to remove a few of the transitions (Neo Geo, Sega Genesis, etc.) that are far too loud for the system.

Sorry if this has been discussed before. Would it be possible to make it so that in attract mode the wheel would only stop on those games you want it to? I'm thinking if I throw a party it might be nice to have it land only on games that are fairly familiar to casual players (e.g. Pac-Man).

Haven't been here in quite some time... still an awesome site! Hey, has there been any discussion re: a version of Hyperspin to run on iOS since there are quite a few emulators running on iPhones and iPads now... any chance of it happening? I recently purchased an iPad and did a jailbreak on it so I could run MAME and other emus... got to thinking how cool it would be if Hyperspin was available as my front end...

Using some of the tools on a 15khz TV at 480i is impossible. - HyperlaunchHQ has huge icons for the tabs which push info down past the 480 lines and is unusable. - Hypersync cloud uses an interface which pushes some needed buttons to the right past 640 lines and is unusable. I'm sure there are other areas but these are the two I noticed. I wasn't able to complete my setup using my TV. So my request is to review these at 640x480 and ensure all interface elements can fit.

I come from GameLauncher, I know, old school. I think HS needs audible feedback when the player 'launches' the game/rom. I really only want ONE sound file for any game launch, mind you. I couldn't find a way to do it today without scripting etc.

I have a home theater PC on my flatscreen in the living room. Could an RDC (remote desktop connection) be integrated into hyperspin? connect RDC to port 3866 on hyperspin box. and have it stream games direct to my TV?

Hello, I think the Hyperspin Stuff face a really big problem... I try to explain what I mean: Hyperspin allways use their own custom Dats for Games. So you have a really mixed Dat with Dumps from redump and from other Sourced (P2P?) If you are allways make sure, you have a good dump and just want use redump Dats, you facing a problem, because some Games can have a different Hash as the ones in your Dats. Another Problem is the renaming of all the Stuff. Redump Dats are allways Up to Date and have all the renamed stuff in it. Hyperspin Dats are allways a little bit behind. I came across a little program that would sequentially load roms or on a singular basis that would take a snapshot or record video. I believe it was from emumovies software section. It was a while ago...This would be brilliant to be able to set this feature up overnight and in the morning have your missing or unavailable vids recorded for you. If there was a ticky box page to select rom required then click go... It must be possible to implement. I know hyper cloud sort of covers this very well but only if you are a registered emu member or your roms are hyperlist no intro complient...thoughts?

This is actually a request for the site and community in general. Would it be possible for their to be an optional email subscription service with which we could be notified of updates to key aspects of HyperSpin such as HL or even the dbs perhaps? My job makes it difficult to keep up with the forums all the time so I have to set aside a day every few months to check that everything non-synced is up to date.

BBB, and other HS Devs, Great work on all you guys have accomplished, I love every minute of my HS Setups!!! I am in need of an option in hyperspin to flip (not rotate) for Space Invaders Mirrored cabinet, Im using an LCD,needing the screen flipped on the vertical axis,but im sure there are other users that will have a need for this someday, and will probably need the flipping to occur on the horizontal axis too... a few examples of why someone may need this... -rear projected images on to a screen -Arcade restores or new builds that utilize a mirror to display the game Thank you for your consideration!

Hi guys, I'm hoping this feature is already available somehow, but I've had no luck finding it thus far. Essentially I'm after a random select button feature that will spin and randomly select an option from the wheel on screen (exact like the attract mode!). The end result would be "hey, let's play a randomly selected game and see who wins" *press button*. It wouldn't need to actually enter the game, just random select one from which wheel is currently on display.
