The newer GTX cards (6 & 7 series) can run 3 screens (2 in XP and 3 or 4 in Windows 7 and greater) I'm just wondering if anyone has run 3 screens off of 1 video card (no I'm not going DMD...already have everything built) was the performance ok under Windows 7?

Hey all, This is my 4th cabinet build, this one is giving me issues. Here's the specs Running 24v Siemens contactors with led wiz Running the ground through the led wiz and the 24v to the contactor, with diode the correct way. Sometimes when I power on the 24v supply one contactor activates. Next when using the ledwiz tool I can activate the contactors and watch the fuses blow. Please any insight will help! Thanks guys

Hello Pinners, I have another batch of graphic design work for our members. I had the good fortune of having some classic design themes to work on this past fall. One is the popular Star Wars universe and another wanted to embrace and pay tribute to the Nintendo 64. Also Glympse Legacy is a software company wanting to have a fun pin cab at their headquarters for their employees to enjoy. All these sets came out great and I appreciate getting to bring these cool ideas to life. Pin Wars wanted to have the look and feel of the original Star Wars movies. We sprinkled in some newer items but stayed close to the origin of Star Wars. I'm really liking the balance and colors us…

We were honored to be contacted by the Pinball Hall of Fame out in Las Vegas and decided to debut our new machine there. This machine has been donated for a 1 year tour at the HOF. It is headed out to them this week. This is our New Traditional LE. It features a full Forced feedback kit, custom powder coated hardware, 32" LED backbox monitor and the new Haswell i5 processor. Our business would not be where it is today if it wasn't for a few amazing forum members so I'd like to say a huge thanks to the following. mameman for CNC cutting all our cabinets and spending hours and hours of excellent R&D time dfwArcade for hundreds of hours of cabinet artwork design. Hello. My Virtual Pin Cab just started with installing PC to work on my 46" Samsung Playfield. Works as far, but now I will go on with separate Displays. For Backglass I will choose a 32" Samsung LED TV. Ist this ok? It Looks so wide and flat. Isn´t it? What Kind of LCD has a better look/shape? Next Thing is the DMD: Looking for a Real DMD set. Which should I aim for? Is there a shop that delivers both (DMD and Driver PCB) in Europe? With good, bright DMDs? Please help to to get good parts for this step. Thank you for every information/answer, guys! newbie HP

Until recently I had a happy working cab that supported one ledwiz drive. I managed to blow this drive so ordered 2 new ones from groovygame gear. The two new ones are both labelled Dev 2. I cannot for the life of me to get the ledwiz to work with tables in VP. So far I have it working under the lum aura control, under the DOF test config panel & it also works in ledblinky. I have tried this using the Legacy output & the Direct Output Framework. Have configured my ledcontrol.ini via the [site reference removed] config tool. I've created different table folders, one for legacy & one for DOF. i've un-installed VP & re-installed. I don'…

I need to let go of a couple of toys to address some bills. Dr Who is going up for sale. One of the first 46" builds. 46" samsung lcd 29" Haier 29" (new) Hanspree 15.6" (new) 3Ghz dual core cpu 2gb memory 60gb OCZ Agility 3 SSD XP Tiny GTS 250 1gb video card Pics as it sits today below. There is a red line on the screen that has been there since day 1 (visible in last pic), it does not impact game play as far as I'm concerned and for the most part during game play I don't even notice it. But wanted to point it out. Also if the buyer would like i will include the original head i built for it and dmd overlay that was designed for a 32" screen. i removed it recen…

For authenticity I'd assume that a real DMD is the preferred option. Nothing looks more like the real thing, then the real thing. But, with more real pinball machines getting colour DMD modifications, is it better to use an LCD panel to take advantage of this feature? (Assuming it is a / will be a feature) total noob here

Hey everyone. I have a friend here in CT that is a graphic designer that is planning on making a Theatre of Magic Themed artwork for his widebody pin. A lot of people are asking me about ready made decals sets for there pin cabinet and I'm wondering if there is any interest once this is completed in some of you buying a graphics set? The graphics will be printed through me using my material. Information on the material can be found here http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/forum/showthread.php?14150-Decals-and-Printing-for-your-Hyperpin-Cabinet Cost for a graphics set will be $295 plus shipping. This includes 2 sides, 2 backboxes, front and possibly a speaker panel. This wi…

Okay, I have a chance to get a blue xpin dmd for a really good price bnib sealed still, problem is its the standard version and not the 5 volt version to use on a hyperpin cab. I contacted brett at xpin and asked for directions on converting it. I have extreme faith in my soldering skill, I have just never done anything like this converting a board over. Here are the directions he gave me Remove L1 Add R21, a Zero ohm resistor Add D2 and make sure polarity is as marked on the silk screen. Trim all unused pins on the power connection. If done incorrectly, you may damage the board on power up. It has happened. One other note...the warranty will be void if you do it…

When I read the article about virtual pinballs in the german C'T magazine a few months ago, I knew right away I wanted to build one of these. It was a classic "how hard can it be?" moment. Well, as it turned it, it is reasonably hard for someone with no woodworking or electronics skills at all. So this build thread will be more interesting to beginners than to the pros among you. It will contain all the mishaps I encountered, so hopefully someone else can learn from them. There's no way I could've started building the cab without the amazing information found in the build threads in this forum. Thank you very much to all of you! The goal is to start out with a basic set…

We've been wondering for a while if the LED DMDs from Xpin (product page) were compatible with Russ' pinDMD board. Someone was looking into it, but then seemed to disappear so I decided to investigate myself. Short answer: yup, compatible out of the box. Now these are the 8x8 matrix style, so you're going to see the grid lines a bit, but it seems like those are what's out there these days if you don't figure out how to power a plasma board. One upside over the Vishay ones is they come in colors besides orange and red, I opted for a yellow/green one just to go with a different feel. It looks really green in pictures, it's more yellow in person. These are based in the US…

Iso hlp with wierd thing... Since Im gathering $ for all missing parts for my cab (ledwiz, ipac, buttons, fans itp and extra $ for shipping from ebay to Poland Q_Q) Im using gamepad for VP. Ive added another switch for my buttons to remove lag with contactors. When I plug adaptor my gamepad starts glitching. X/Y axis turns off, windows recognize pad over and over again. Everything is ok when I unplug gamepad or contactor adaptor. Ive two different circuits. One is for microswitch and one for contactor. I just glued two parts from broken microswitches to get extra one. Any ideas whats going on? p.s. gamepad isnt connected to contactors. (i figured that it must be separate…

Many of you have seen my Indiana Jones build thread. Take a look in my signature if you haven't. When I built that machine I also built two others. I am now selling one of the other 2 that I built. Originally for a friend, then he changed his mind, then I kept it, now I need to sell it. The machine is VERY close to being the same as my Indiana Jones pin. Nearly identical. The only real difference is there are 4 LED's above the playfield instead of 5 (he liked how the 4 looked better than 5...you could always change that later), and only 2 flipper buttons instead of 4. No real difference there since I never ever use my other 2 anyway. A LOT of time went into this. Built …

Hi For my cabinet build I'm using a Samsung UE46C6000 aquired from Ebay. This TV remembers its power state after having been disconnected from power, so it turns on automatically when the power comes back. Currently I'm looking for a 32'' screen for the backbox with the same behaviour. I guess the smaller Samsungs will behave like bigger models. Which other brands/models do also remember the power state of having been disconnected or turn off automatically (maybe some config setting of the TV) when they are connected to power? Thanks for all hints Tom
