Greetings Spinners & Pinners, please check out a couple of Hyper Pin decal sets custom designed from our exisiting generic set for pinball cabs. Hyper Pin Decal Set - Multi Character Design Update My client wanted a modification of our Hyper Pin generic decal set. We upped the amount of pinball characters in such a way to keep the original design concept in check but also make it more custom. We also revisited the top design layout with Adam’s Family and Star Trek artwork. I made a carbon fiber fire design background to update the original Hyper Pin generic decal set. The dark carbon and colorful fire with updated characters creates an elaborate design with more det…

Has anyone else run into this issue? My contactors for the flippers seem to randomly cut out. A lot of times they won't work at all, until the ball hits the bumpers at the top of a table.. That seems to trigger them and get them going again.. But a lot of times even after that, they will continue to come and go. Sometimes they will work all the time, other times they will stop working for a few seconds. Sometimes just the right one stops, sometimes just the left, sometimes it is both. The whole thing seems REALLY random. I thought at first that I had some contactors going bad. So I grabbed some spares and replaced them. No difference. So I though, maybe it is a loose w…

I'm most definitely a 'noob' as far as building a cab is concerned, but after months and months of salivating over various tables my gf and I have finally decided to take the plunge. We sealed a deal today to buy an old 6-card bingo table (that is still 95% working actually) for a mere $350 DELIVERED!! That may seem high to some, but it's incredibly hard to find lower-budget tables for sale in this area, and I honestly think if I were to build a cab I'd end up spending close to that anyway. Here's a pic of it so you'll know what I'm talking about: They'll be bringing it next next week, but I have a few questions before I start gutting the machine. 1) I've viewed c…

As an addition in my pincab I am considering adding some emulated games and a controller/joystick. But have no clue where to start. I've started reading threads over at HyperSpin, but after one hour I got dizzy from all the information. Even checked out some tutorials on Youtube. Perhaps one of you guys has done this and can shine some light on this to help me get started. I noticed several downloads Hyperspin HyperHQ Hypertheme Hyperpause HyperSynq HyperLaunch HyperLaunchHQ Every download has different versions as well. Do I need all those ? Or will the new v3 hyperlaunchHQ suffice for everything ? I understand I need to get ROMS from somewher…

Selling a Mitsubishi LDT422V Commercial Grade 42" Display. $600 obo A friend of mine bought this monitor when he was going to build his cab a while back. He never got around to actually building the cab, but still has this display brand new in the box. It's a killer display. Very expensive, commercial grade display. Obviously local pickup is preferred, but can ship if necessary. Feel free to PM me if you're interested. Thanks Bill

I've been putting this off for weeks, I've advertised for someone to help, offered £££ but nothing. I need my ledwiz wiring up & I do not have a clue as to how. (I have read electrical 101) So maybe this topic can get me started & others as well as a google search has not found anything useful in wiring up the ledwiz. Really am very grateful for any replies, help that follow. So this is from scratch, nothing ledwiz software installed, nothing wired up, nothing added to tables script. In total I have 8 buttons I want wired to the ledwiz. Once this is done I will move onto led lights around the cab & contactors. For the 8 button lights I want to wire up …

I got to speaking with a rep from Stern about getting a Game of Thrones pinball made. She loved the idea, and suggested I started an online petition to show the company there is demand for this pin. http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/petition-sterns-to-make-a-game-of-thrones-pinball/ There it is. I think this would make for an AMAZING pin, and one I'd be lining up to buy. Please share this link to anyone you know would enjoy it!

Hi there, Did anyone make a scaled-down pin cab yet? A 26" for playfield with a 21" 4:3 monitor at 90 degrees as both backglass and DMD should give decent proportions, and be affordable (if you can find a second hand 21" 4:3). Throw in a mini-ITX setup in the back box, and you have a bartop vpin With some hinges on the back box you could even make it 'foldable', to stow it away when not in use. Until I have a lot more space I will not have room for a full size pin. But this could work. Has something like that been done? Cheers, Frode

I saw this at another forum and figure it would be helpful here. Hardware store plumbing aisle. Roll of hard white tubing, and make all you need for a few bucks.

Hey all, I could sure use some help. Through searching all of the cabinet threads, I have seen a number of people have used the Samsung UN46ES6003 to build their machine. All of the sites I trust no longer carry this HDTV. Now I am stuck. I have already been burned by purchasing the Samsung UN46ES6000. It has uneven sides ( 7/8 then 1 1/4). Who would have thought. I have already assembled and glued (I know, I know I am a moron) and need a TV that will fit into a 24 1/4 or less slot. Can anyone please suggest a 46" HDTV that will fit? I am looking at a Samsung UN46ES6300 but who knows what decased it will look like (learned that the hard way). …

I was able to get back into my cabinet build this weekend and I also was just starting the process of wiring up the LedWiz and Zeb's boards. So how is everyone attaching the ribbon cable wires to the LedWiz? The wires in the ribbon cable are slightly smaller than 26 awg and they don't want to stay in place when I tighten the screw. I tried doubling the end over on one and seemed to have it secure but wasn't able to consistently do that with each one. I was thinking I'm gonna get some of those insulated crimp-on pins. I also wondered if I should only strip a smaller amount of insulation so that the insulation would grab but I worried that might keep it from grabbing t…

Thought I would start a thread I can update as time goes on. I am starting to gather parts for my build. Figured this would be a good way to keep track of what I have and what I need as well as keep everyone up to date as time elapses. Right now I am working on a mame machine for a good friend of mine, all while gather hardware and parts for my machine. Wanted to take a quick sec to say thanks to all the guys who have already made threads and builds, as they are helping me learn a ton. I am a super cheap ass and really shop around before I just up and buy stuff to make sure I am getting it at the best price, some so with that said I will be posting prices I pay for ever…

Hi I have a 42 LCD tv waiting to be used in a new cab. Will this do a good enough job or is it really worth investing in an led? Seems a lot of money to so end when I have this good tv already, but then before I spend hours on the cabinet I want to make sure I will be happy with the result. Also is 42 a good size or would 46 give much improved results, it seems most of you go for 46 now? I also have a 32 lcd for the back box, i Again is it worth the money for a new led?

Hi All, I've been slowly piecing together my cabinet over the past few months, and like most others, started with the computer and software side of things. I needed a TV, so I bought a Samsung UN46EH6000 display well before I started on my cabinet thinking I would have no issues when it came time to de-case it and slide it into my cab. Wrong! Today, I removed the display's housing to discover that the bottom side of the TV is much thicker than the other three sides. Here's a pic of the top left corner of the panel. It is 7/8" wide: Here's the bottom. It is 1-5/8" wide: Obviously, this massive bottom edge is going to screw things up for me. Any ideas? Should I just…

Okay so here is my long story. I went to CAX and while I was there, their was this guy selling pinball related stuff. I walked up to his table and saw he had a basket of custom shooter rods. I looked through them and he had some cool ones, but I didn't see any Captain America. I asked him if he had one and he said no, I don't make these, but here take this card, this guy is the maker of them. So when I got home from CAX I sent the guy an email. This was July 15th "Hi there, I was seeing if you have a custom shooter rod with either captian Americas head or his shield? Thanks" He replies "Sure I can do a Captain America custom Shooter Rod. Just paypal 50.00 to:(his email …

New Pinball Build - Add Toys?

I purchased a virtual pinball cabinet. If I can just say, the builder "Monster Arcades" has been great to work with and the machine looks awesome. A link of the 42/27/DMD is here ---> https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=670715919608999&set=vb.135734729847&type=3&theater I discussed adding more features with MA and they are rightfully wary that more toys means more stuff that can break. I'm not an expert, and I do want to be cautious of that. With that said, are there any "toys" (LED Wiz, shaker motors, solonoids, etc.) that anyone would recommend I integrate into the machine? It would unfortunately need to be something that would not be too difficult…

Here is a Pinball Hero themed cab I just finished. It features a 42 inch LED playfield, a 27 inch LED Back monitor, and a Xpin DMD. I sent all of the legs/rails/lockdown bar/and bolts off to be powder coated fireball red. This was a blast to build!

Has anyone thought about using Colored DMD ? It only works for a hand full of games and I am sure there will be more games to come but would it work for us on those 6 games and be "orange" for the others? Then when a new game is compatible with it all we have to do is have a certain ROM or change the script a little?? http://www.colordmd.com
