Hi anyone confirm how to setup hyperspin to launch different .cfg files per core with retroarch? I have Nvidia shield TVs marshmallow Retroarch play store version Just working with Nestopia and picodrive cores to start with. I can launch games, change overlay and input configs but it's all global for both cores. Tried per core config option, changing config file directory, save current and save new but still any change affects both cores when I reload the game from hyperspin. Anyone have a solution I have spent hours on this?

I downloaded Hyperspin off of the play store, and I'll be saving it to the storage directory. No SD yet. I also have the two downloads from the downloads section. So is the next step creating a directory in storage? Also, its looking for "data" but that's not in the downloads. Thanks for any suggestions, Walter

Hey guys just joined the forum a while ago and been slowly getting my Hyperspin set up. Slowly being the word! Getting there but now run into another problem. Not sure this is worthy of it's own thread but don't know where to put it. Does anyone else have problems with these?: I get a green shade around everything, makes it painful to look at. It's the same on all of them, and also the system themes for these too. I really love these menus so hoping there is an easy fix. I'm using the Nvidia Shield TV. Could someone please check to see if this is also like this for them. Cheers.

Trying to set up dreamcast. I Downloaded a game and I has a gdi file along with other files. I placed them in a folder and named it the same as the xml name. It works but I can't get it to show up in the hyperspin game wheel. I have 2 Cdi file games and they do show up in the game wheel. All my other games are gdi. Is there a way to have the gdi files show up in the game wheel. My ini file is set to gdi,cdi

Hi all, Just starting with Hyperspin on my Nvidia Shield TV and for now it goes pretty well but.......when I start a Sony Playstation game from the wheel it's not starting from there, it always goes to ePSXe menu first and from there I have to go to the map of my roms and run it from there. Is this the only way possible or am I doing something wrong here. Some info from my sony playstation.ino from /settings [exe info] path=H:\hyperspin\emulators\Sony Playstation\ rompath=Emulators/Sony Playstation/roms/ userompath=true exe=com.epsxe.ePSXe/com.epsxe.ePSXe.ePSXe romextension=bin, iso parameters= searchsubfolders= pcgame=false winstate=HIDDEN hyperlaunch=true Per…

I have been attempting to wrap my head around the fact that Hyperspin and Retroarch have two separate retroarch.cfg files.. I did find a video online on how to make them use a single config file.. it seems to partly work... such as specifying directory paths. I am attempting to configure advanced settings within Retroarch such as applying filters, enabling vulkan instead of opengl, enable fps overlay... and I am having a very difficult time keeping the settings persistent between hyperspin/retroarch on my Nvidia Shield. Can anyone shed some light on how to persistently make Retroarch and Hyperspin use the same configuration files? is it even possible?

Hello and thank you all for the help i found in the different threads. I started my HS on Shield TV Pro 2017 setup a couple of weeks ago and took me quite a while to understand. I finally got my Nes, SNES and Megadrive roms to work with "external" emulators. Box art, video previews, themes, i'm happy. I've copied my Hyperspin directory at the root of my internal Shield memory. For instance, i use as my rom path for NES : Emulators/Nintendo Entertainment System/roms/ I did want to use the emulators a owned and avoid retroarch. (Nes.emu, Md.emu, Snes9x EX +, Mupen64Plus FZ and Mame4droid 0.139u1) But 'm now struggling with MAME and N64…

I went through the steps and I have Hyperspin/RetroArch running perfectly on my PC.. I then used the cloud sync to get all of the media for the systems. I then copied all of the media and roms, and used new settings to a USB and launched it on my Nvidia Shield... Mostly everything works... except now I am unable to open several wheels. When I click them Hyperspin just go back to the main wheel. It seems like it is all of the Classic Systems (Capcom,Nintendo, SNK, Sega, Taito etc.) as well as SNK Neo Geo Pocket Color... I am kind of stumped on this since i have tried removing themes changing system themes. I checked my menu settings, XML files everything appears to be fine…

I would like a native Hyperspin app on my 2016 Sony TV running android. I am willing to make contributions necessary if someone was willing to put in the time to get the app working on Sony TVs running android. Please get back to me and lets see if we can make this happen. A native app built right into the TV would be awesome and I could cut out the middle man of having to use a Shield TV. Thanks.

Hi guys, Im wondering wich emulator should i use for PSP on HS Android. Im using Retroarch at the moment, however most of the games are lagging. I've tried to run it through PPSSPP but every time i start any game i've got PPSSPP opened without running the game. I've tried PPSSPP the nightly build as well with no luck. Any suggestions ? Thanks.

Hey guys, I just started using Hyperspin for the first time on my Nvidia Shield TV and I absolutely love it! I was just wondering if you are working on a Hyperspin version for my 2016 Sony Android TV? I tried searching for it Google Play Store and noticed it is not available. I did sideload the app on my TV, however, and it installed fine, it just will not start up or function. I suspect this is due to the Sony TVs processor not being supported or the fact that maybe the TV doesn't use OpenGL? Anyway, I really hope this is something you guys are considering. A native app on my TV would be amazing as the processor really is good enough to play most gam…

I used the 'Hyperspin for Android' setup instructions pinned here to get Hyperspin running on my Nvidia Shield TV Pro. Everything works fine now but I'd like to add more systems to the wheel since there were only 21 systems included with the download. Would like to play others like Atari 2600, Jaguar, and Vectrex. Are there instructions somewhere on how to add new systems to the HS wheel? Digging inside the files I downloaded, I found the Main Menu.xml with a list of current systems on the wheel....do I just add systems manually to that list and download & create new Media folders for them?

Hi all, Currently you can only use the analog stick for MAME by default for MAME 0.182 on RetroArch (NVIDIA SHIELD TV) MAME Core. To get the D pad working on MAME 0.182 core on RetroArch, just do the following: Just go to input, then bindings and replace the current analog up,down, left and right settings for player 1 and change to D pad up,down, left and right then just exit RetroArch as usual (ensure save on exit is enabled). Leave D Pad settings as they are currently. Now both analog and D pad work for MAME, tried playing puckman and Raiden and a few others and all work fine. Hope this helps

As the title suggests, is it possible to launch games from several emulators straight from hyperspin? I know this is possible through rocket launcher on the pc version. Would be awesome, if this can be done on android as well. Unless each wheel is limited to one emulator for the time being.

thatman84 I thought I'd attempt to make an updated version based off of your Atari 5200 tutorial. Tested on: Nvidia Shield TV (2015 16GB version) OTA 5.0 Retroarch MAME 0.182 core (Pre warning: As of this posting on this version of mame the d-pad does not work but instead is relocated to the left analog. The guys at Libretro are already aware of this issue and I could not reconfig my gamepad in anyway to get the d-pad to work. All other buttons work though. One trick around this is to open Retroarch and go to player 1 bindings and re map the left analog then exit Retroarch.) Retroarch MESS 2014 0.159 790dca5 core (The d-pad seems to work on the few sys…

I have been setting up a bunch of systems on hyperspin on my nvidia shield, but i can't get Turbo Graphix 16 to find the roms. They all work fine in retroarch, but when i go to hyperspin it says trying to launch missing rom. I have checked and double checked the .ini file and i can't figure out what could be wrong, all of my other systems work and the roms are all stored in the same location in the hyperspin folder. The only thing that i noticed is that there is a modules folder where TG16 has the name of TurboGrafx 16 with the AHK file named the same. Not sure what that is for though. Everywhere else it is named NEC TurboGrafx-16. Anyone have any ideas of …

I need some help getting mame setup for a shield tv. I already have hyperspin working with NES, SNES, N64, SMS and Sega Genesis The way i have it setup is on the root of shield is my hyperspin folder. In hyperspin I have a folder called Emulators, Folders named with each system, then a folder called roms, then the roms ie. hyperspin\emulators\Sega Genesis\roms All of the roms i have for these systems have one file with the same file type for all roms for each system. ie: all Nintendo 64 roms are .z64 file extension. Also all of the roms are clearly labeled with the game name. then in my settings folder in hyperspin there are .ini files for each system.…
