I can get into hyperspin no issues via steam big picture, even navigate with my wired 360 controller without any extra config. But it ends up bringing up a black screen when I go to play a mame game, assume because it only sees the Hyperspin overlay? Any tips to get this working and not do window mode?

Hey guys, Been a while since I've made a post. I've been busy with a lot. I picked this back up again, and have been setting up my game library on an external HDD. Well... I'm almost done, but I'm coming really close to my 1TB limit on my external drive. All I have on that drive are games, so I'm looking to save space, hopefully without deleting anything lol. Currently none of my games are compressed in zip/rar/7z files. They are all completely unpacked ISO/BIN-CUE/CDI files. I might go the route of upgrading to a 2TB drive, but I thought I'd see if compression would be a worthwhile option. What do you guys think?

Hi All, I am in the process of buying a new computer because the one I currently own unfortunately got broken. I have a full back up of all the folders though. However my dilemma is that I have been using windows XP until now and the new computer will come with win 10 installed on it. Could someone please let me know how to install the latest version of Hyperspin from scratch by keeping all my current configuration? Hi and thanks for taking time to read this. Some time ago Awakened told me in a Retroarch thread he was using Gzipped roms, i.e., ".gz" for PS2 games, I use PBP for PS1 , CSO for PSP and GCZ for GameCube, it saved me lots of Gigabytes without the need to wait for uncompression, like it does for 7z, but for systems like 3DO, Sega CD and some others that don't support compressed isos I only leave them uncompressed to Bin+Cue or ISO. PCSX2 (SVS versions from emucr) now supports reading compressed ISOS to .gz and it's a great deal because some games gets half it's size. Having this error message in Hyperspin. Your systermName is: Nintendo GameCube It is not one of the known supported sytems for this Retroarch module: retroarch. I have downloaded the dolphin core in retroarch ran it in retroarch, tested it works fine. Just wont launch in hyperspin any ideas ? Thanks.

I have a 2 player setup (2 joysticks) using an ipac2 (keyboard encoder) and a PC powering my MAME/hyperspin/rocketlauncher. My issue is, my son (who is 3) wants to play games with me, but he can't keep his hands off the joytick or buttons while i'm scrolling through the games in Hyperspin. This makes it very difficult to find a game because as he pushes buttons or moves the joystick, we end up selecting/exiting or changing genres. I would love to disable player 2 in hyperspin, but not loose P2 once the game starts. I opened HyperHQ and went to the control section, which allows me to change different keyboard keys for P2, but it doesn't allow you to leave them bl…

HI! I am wondering how do i add another rom to HyperSpin? Here is the situation, I have the rom for the game "Raiden". When i add that to the MAME rom directory and run it through MAME it works perfectly fine. But, it doesn't show up in the Hyperspin Wheel (I bought the arcade cab with Hyperspin already installed along with mame and roms). Is there an easy way to get the rom/game to show up on Hyperspin? or do i have to go through a lot ot steps? If someone could please walk me through on how to get Hyperspin to see a rom/game that has no issues working if launched through MAME without using the front end... Thank You!

I've created a complete wheel for most of the SNES CD MSU-1 games that are currently available. The wheel is based on SimplyAustins SNES Wheel as I like the clean look and background and have also used some of Aorin's Video Snaps from the great game hacks wheel that was released. I've created mock up SNES CD covers and CD images based on some of the box art for the games out there. The RocketLauncher module is setup to launch the games with Retroarch using the BSNES core, its my first wheel release so hopefully everything works ok. Does anyone no the code that hyperspin uses to log into windows or shut down the pc when ESC is pressed? I want to build a script and wheel to do just that not sure how to? I want my esc key left to just going back in the menus and exiting systems. I already have a shut down wheel ready to do. Thanks

Hi all, Does the community have any interest in making an XML, video set, box art, wheel art, and cart image and theme for these imports? I list the JAPAN EXCLUSIVES below for the Nintendo 64 console. Below are the default rom names with the latest Rev shown, if the rom had multiple revisions. I am going to go thru and re-name some of these to their english counterpart name...for example Sin and Punishment...I will make another post with the default rom names, that I will suggest to be changed. Hey everyone, newcomer to the forums and was wondering is some of you could give me some advice on a project I'm planning to start on. I'm looking to build a PC and stylise it like a console. I'm thinking of using either Windows with Hyperspin or Linux with Attract Mode (with the Hyperspin media copied over). At the moment I'm thinking of getting a 500GB SSD for all the software and media (OS, front-end, emulators, snaps, artwork, etc.) and a 4TB HDD to store the roms. I'm hoping to have the system be able to use anything that's available up to now but the focus will be anything PS1 or older. I'll have it set up for newer systems too but I don't think I'll use those …

I have been struggling with this for hours but just can't seem to get it right. I have enabled bezels in Rocketlauncher. Under RocketLauncher\Media\Bezels\Nintendo Entertainment System\_Default I have a bezel called bezel nintendones.png. My emulator is Retroarch and core is Nestopia. Without bezels, the game screen is a good size, almost filling my laptop screen vertically and with some blank spaces at the sides. When I enable bezels in RL, the bezels appear as they should though the gaming screen gets smaller and shunted up and to the left!! Hi all, When I select Future Pinball is it possible to hide the wheel as the game theme displays. And then show the wheel again as you scroll up or down. So you would scroll to a game on the wheel, let go and the wheel would disappear as the theme shows? Is that possible does anyone know? Thanks

User cathaldub started a thread back in 2009 regarding this topic and user SophT said that he/she was working on something like this, but unfortunately lost the work in a hard drive failure. Then the thread died. Has anything like this been conjured up since? It would be pretty sweet to have this on the main menu, with maybe 10-50 of the most played games over all systems.

I am having a tough time getting my system to work. I'm not sure if it is a setting that i pressed? Now it is broke. Both HS and RL will hang up on this screen when I run multiple emulators including Mame. The emulators ALL work outside of the software. Here is what's weird, If I run RLUI and go to MAME (ver .201) I say choose 1942. It will run , I will try another game it might or might not run , I go back to 1942 or any other game and it gives me this screen. For HS I get this screen every time . I can't figure this out. Help! Can anyone tell me what the (Alt) versions are for the MSX rom set/database? Seems like every game as a few alternative versions. For example Akanoid (Japan)(Atl 1), Akanoid (Japan)(Atl 2), Akanoid (Japan)(Atl 3). Which one do I keep? I only one version of each game.

Browsing through the latest databases and came across Final Burn Alpha with over 5000 games. Isn't this just an alternative to Mame, Neo Geo and Turbografx all rolled into one emulator? Can someone shed some light into this system? Is there a need for it? Seems to me that it will just replicate all the games I already have.
