So I thought I would give back to the community and offer my services with the printing of graphics and decals for your projects. I own a sign company in Connecticut and have a 54" digital printer. I have printed some artwork for Mameman and a couple of others on the forum and have been asked by a few about printing their work. You can see the quality of the printer and material on my build http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/forum/showthread.php?t=13088. So I am starting this thread to offer my services at a fair price which I hope will be less than what it would normally cost you around your area. Here is what you get and how much. Material: -Arlon 3165RA (Rapid Air Rele…

Hey everyone! I've been asked by many members to stop by the forums. The HyperSpin community is currently the largest consumer of our adapters, accounting for over 20% of the market. From the bottom of my heart, thank you! To help give the best experience and support we can, this will be the official Bliss-Box thread for any and all discussions or questions regarding our products or adapters in general. There are a number of HyperSpinners who are well informed on the inner workings of Bliss-Box who can help but in this thread I'll do my best to respond to all Bliss-Box related questions, so you can hear it straight from the horse's mouth. Bliss-Box…

Hello spinners & pinners, My name is Josh White and I've been making some custom Pinball cab designs for members. I started with Dazz's Twilight Tribute HyperPin 2125 at the Texas Pinball Convention in March this year. Since then I've done a few more designs and wanted to offer my services. I'm a broadcast senior graphic designer with 18 years’ experience in design for tv, print & web. I've got my BFA in Art at the University of Rhode Island and started working for NBC out of college. We moved around the country a few times and now our family lives in Texas. I love making design work for people. This venture is a true calling back to my roots as an artist learn…

Current state of the project: Main build log starts: I've not posted here for a while but I thought I'd share some of my progress on my latest project. It's a rig for racing sims. I wanted it to match the rest of the projects I now have in my games room. It's taken quite a long time to get this far and I have some way to go yet. This is a bit of a cut and paste from posts on another forum. This is what my current racing setup looks like: First job was to acquire some new equipment. I’ve gone for the Fanatec ClubSport series kit. This includes the pedal set, wheel base with detachable rims and an H-pattern/Sequential shifter. This will be configured to use…

I would like to start by thanking the entire community for all the infomation I have gathered about this project over the past month. the wealth of information available here is phenominal. thank you all. right, on to business.. this is my first post, so bear with me if I ramble a bit.. After looking at some fo the fantastic projects showcased here I thought it was time to build my own system. I have been dabbling with mame since 0.32b, but never really progressed further than just playing them on my pc. I don't have space for a full size machine, so when I saw some of the bartops here I thought it was about time to start my own project. I purchased the kit that quite …

A friend of mine (and fellow lurker / new forum member Rayzor753) have decided to build a cabinet for our Hyperspin frontend Arcade. We're going for a retro gaming machine - so we decided to go with a 27" Sony Trinitron TV with S-video. We have a variety of video cards we're going to try (Our best is a 512MB ATI). We'll see how it works out. The cabinet we're doing is going to be based on the Mortal Kombat designs. So we bought some big sheets of 3/4" MDF and we got started. Peg board is going to be used for the back for venting. Starting cuts. One side done. Both sides clamped together and squared off on the factory cut side. Then both sides were s…

Hi Been working on this for a few days and just thought i`d share some progress pics, would appreciate any comments, good or bad!!! First side cut with a jigsaw using rail guides. Then clamped to another piece of MDF and routered an exact copy using the flush cutting bit.. The two sides with the base and back board Even though i`m using a full size ATX board and full size PSU, i`m trying to keep the size of the cab as small as possible. This is the reason i`ve decided to mount the speakers in the top panel and not under the marquee. Control panel cut and ready to mark up for the joystick/buttons Buttons in place, but suffered some blow out on the MDF so…

It's probably about time I posted some progress on my latest project here. The only major gaming setup I'm missing (aside from a virtual pinball table) is a setup for space/flight sims. With the beta release of Elite, my juices started flowing and kicked me into action. The idea is to create an integrated solution to a 'space place'. I have VR in mind as I'm construction this. The overall design will look something like this: It will take many design cues from previous projects in terms of general style and materials used so expect to see a lot of this sort of thing: To cut to the chase, here's what I have currently. The side pods for the throttle and stick have …

Hey there Started a new cabinet last weekend. I was so inspired by gbeef's Outrun project, that I decided to build my own. I didn't have any plans to go off of, and very little information about what the dimensions of the thing are, so I traced out a picture of gbeef's, then used so mathematics to get a rough idea of the rest. Here is how far I got last weekend... Hoping to finish up the base construction today, and start working on the top section. I just picked up a 32" LCD screen last night since Best Buy had one I liked on sale. More to follow... **Running Total of Costs - 6/15/2013** 2.5x 4x8 Sheets of 3/4" cabinet grade plywood - $90 (Home Depot, have a…

Here are a few images of my soon to be complete (fingers crossed) "Grounds 4 Divorce" cab and some of the artwork I'll be using. Hoping to have it done in time for christmas A4 print from my epson for test fit on these three. The cab itself, around 75%-80% complete. The Control Panel with rgb leds. I changed the ball tops for colour coded ones. The Artwork for the upper monitor. The Artwork for the main playing field. The white cross section allows for a rotating monitor The disc that will rotate when attached to the monitor. Rotated for vertical games. And for horizontal games. And the instruction sticker at the bottom of the main playing fi…

Hi my fellow Hyperspinners. I've been planning to build a cab ever since I discovered Hyperspin. More than a year ago I ordered all the necessary parts for building the cab of my dreams only to discover that the design I went for wouldn't fit through the doors to my apartment and my plans to make it separable would be way to expensive to do in Denmark. Since then I discovered the Vewlix styled cab and instantaneously fell in love. I scoured the web for the perfect plans to fit my needs as well as woodworking abilities. Some time passed. I kept myself occupied by helping my brother out with his bartop build. Then finally Donnei contacted me regarding a design cal…

I just bought this racing simulator from a local guy. It's unfinished and not the greatest (but not the worst) build quality but was super cheap. I got a G25 wheel with H shift and three pedals, an old 32" LCD (no HDMI), PS3 (newest model) and a PS2 fat for just AUD$400. I was going to wait until at least the end of the year until I even thought about making a racing cab but this opportunity was too good to pass up. The seat is pretty ratty and it's set way too high but it's a good start. You were expecting photos weren't you? Sorry, the seller just took down the post so you'll have to wait till the sun comes up to see for yourselves what it looks like.

Hello fellow Hyperspinners. It’s been a couple of years since I’ve been active here - back in the heyday when Bad Boy Bill was the driving force behind the site. I used to read every post, in every topic, perusing the site on a daily-basis. I’d love to know the story behind BBB leaving and where many of the admins are today, but alas, life goes on and people take on new interests. There seem to be a lot of great things happening around here between HyperLaunch, HyperSync and the upcoming HyperBase. It’s refreshing to see others picking up the reigns and making things happen. A fantastic job to those of you who have stuck with it throughout the years. Your dedicatio…

Well I finally got one. I am so happy it needs a little work and a new monitor but I am happy. I also got it for free which is even better . But what really makes it nice is when I got it home and found 27 dollars in quarters still in it. I was like hell ya. So It is now called my Lucky Cab. I took some pictures of it to show what it looks like I am going to take the free change and part out the rest of the unit on ebay and use that money to fix the unit. Bin one full of quarters in the front Bin two in the back full of more quarters Can't wait to start on it gotta move first. Thank you Paulstevens for finding me a free cab. I work so hard on HS and st…

Ok, after many request for my plans for this cab here they are. Remember I made these plans when I first built the cab and this was my FIRST time working with wood. ArchAngel Arcade Plans So here is my project. I own a vinyl graphics company and do a lot of work for Nvidia, Crucial, ASUS, DangerDen and many others so with all the goodies they send me I of course include there logos. This blog isnt the best since I forget to take pics mostly through it all but I hope you still enjoy it. Thanks. I got some new tools for this project. Yes I am a geek.. Hey there! I've been working on my cabinet for a few days now, and I thought I'd share some photos with y'all. In the end, the cabinet will feature horror comic artwork, as that's my line of business (I'm a professional comic book writer and letterer.) My wife and I are building the cabinet based on Ultimate Arcade II plans. Enjoy the photos, and feel free to ask questions if you've got 'em! Here are a few ideas I have worked up for side panel art. These are pulled straight from one of my comics. And here's the semi-budget PC I built to go inside the cab. I purchased everything from Newegg, except the massive video card. That was donated by one of my twit…

Hey Guys! Well, I've decided to build a hyperspin cabinet, going to call it Video Man as this was my nickname growing up in the 80's from my friends and family. Going for a 4 player cab. All buttons LED light, 2 fighting sticks, 2 rotary joysticks, trackball, spinner, dedicated 4 way joystick, flight/Tron Stick and Ultimarc AimTrack gun which is on its way! Going to be a beast. Trying to figure out whether to use a widescreen monitor or a 32" CRT TV? Actual arcade monitor is not something I want to invest in, leaning more towards a 32 or 37" widescreen but I figured I'd ask here. Wanted to get some opinions on the matter. I will be using the machine mostly for Mam…

Hello! I want to start by thanking everyone for all of their help! The amount of knowledge and resources on this site is incredible. I've been on a mission to finish my bartop arcade cabinet ever since I found about Hyperspin hehe. I finally received my kit from Tippers27 this week and I'm eager to get started. I'm basically replicating mikekim's Retrocade, he was kind enough to supply the PSD files for his artwork and my goal is to make it look as close as possible to the original Tinyarcade kit and Mikes build! Below is Mikes build, its beauuuutiful! lol http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/forum/showthread.php?17297-Retrocade-bartop This is the kit I bought: I got a blank…

Now finished https://www.flickr.com/gp/157602613@N02/ZXzHdC This started out as a mini version of a popular nugen sit Down cab I spotted. But to be honest it's gone a different direction. So far all I've done is cut out a rough hard board shape to see what she'll look like...I'd say it's more of a coffee table top rather than a bartop machine.. This is what I have so far.. The back curved piece will be kerfed mdf or maybe even glass to see inside. 26 inch wide screen full atx geforce 780ti from my previous gaming pc.. Ignore the colours..just messing about What do you all think..shall I bother!! …

After putting it off for many years I've finally had some spare cash and decided to just go for it and build the cocktail table I've always wanted. I've got no plans it's just all in my head and has been scribbled down on cardboard, it's also evolving a little as I go along, more on that later. I'm documenting it on video so you can watch as it develops or falls apart. http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLlyHOs2WxYvLfG8V2c296k9fKDMapc5Ln Since starting the actual chest has been taken apart but it was kind of like this. The lid I tried to cut out with my jig saw and despite it having a laser on it and a guide the damn thing was a mess so I bought…

New Project Mini Neo Geo MVS while i'm waiting for the weather to get better in the UK (fed up of working in cold garages in freezing temperatures on my pinball table) i thought i would follow the crowd, as led by BBB and RidicRick, with their cool MVS builds. I'm thinking along the lines of a smaller desktop unit running a 15" screen and an external AES joystick for the two player action when required. i'm looking along similar lines to this design obviously it will be a bit bigger, as this was built using a 5" PSOne screen, but I'm sure you will get the general idea. so, on with the build.. kit ready to deploy.. the buttons hadn't turned up at this point, so …
